From Zerohedge.
This is what the US economy has been reduced to: McDonalds reports that as part of its employment event to hire 50,000 minimum wage, part-time (mostly) workers, subsequently raised to 62,000 it received a whopping 1 million applications, or a Tim Geithner jealousy inducing 6.2% hit rate (h/t X. Kurt. OSis). Alas, the US economy is now so pathetic that the bulk of the population will settle for anything. Literally anything. And the saddest part: over 938,000 applicants were turned away. Here's hoping to Burger King needs a few million janitors in the immediate future too. And yes, aside from reality, things in America are really recovering quite nicely...

Four Stories This Week Prove that the War On Terror Is a Farce
From The Big Picture
Executive Summary: Two members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff ‘dis America’s hyper-aggressive imperialism … Newly-leaked documents show that innocent people were thrown into Gitmo because they wore Casio watches or were Al Jazeera reporters … Al Qaeda assassin worked for MI6 … And – yes – the Iraq war was for oil.
Four stories from the last week confirm what many have been saying for years: the war on terror is a farce...
Al Qaeda Assassin and … Green Beret?
The Guardian points out today that U.S. military reports indicate that an Al Qaeda assassin worked for the Britain’s MI6 intelligence agency.
You decide whether this connotes hanky panky or incompetence by Western intelligence services.
As I’ve previously noted, a former Pakistani president alleged that another prominent Al Qaeda terrorist also worked for MI6.
I’ve also noted:
The FBI had penetrated the cell which carried out the 1993 world trade center bombing, but had — at the last minute — canceled the plan to have its FBI infiltrator substitute fake powder for real explosives, against the infiltrator’s strong wishes (summary version is free; full version is pay-per-view)? See also this TV news report
The Congressional Joint Inquiry into 9/11 discovered that an FBI informant had hosted and rented a room to two hijackers in 2000 and that, when the Inquiry sought to interview the informant, the FBI refused outright, and then hid him in an unknown location, and that a high-level FBI official stated these blocking maneuvers were undertaken under orders from the White House (confirmed here by the Co-Chair of the Joint Inquiry and former Head of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Bob Graham; and see this Newsweek article)
One of al-Qaeda’s top trainers in terrorism and how to hijack airplanes, who was a very close associate of Bin Laden, was an American citizen who was an operative for the FBI, the CIA, and the Army, and a green beret (see this article from the San Francisco Chronicle and this article from the Globe and Mail). Indeed, while he was acting as an FBI informant, he smuggled Bin Laden in and out of Afghanistan, helped plan the attacks on US embassies in Africa, and apparently played a pivotal role in planning 9/11.

Is Gaddafi Just Another Bernhard Von Nothaus?
Libya: It’s Not About Oil, It’s About Currency and Loans
From Infowars
According to the IMF, Libya’s Central Bank is 100% state owned. The IMF estimates that the bank has nearly 144 tons of gold in its vaults. It is significant that in the months running up to the UN resolution that allowed the US and its allies to send troops into Libya, Muammar al-Qaddafi was openly advocating the creation of a new currency that would rival the dollar and the euro. In fact, he called upon African and Muslim nations to join an alliance that would make this new currency, the gold dinar, their primary form of money and foreign exchange. They would sell oil and other resources to the US and the rest of the world only for gold dinars...

WikiLeaks Reveals Secret Files on All Guantánamo Prisoners
From Wikileaks
The documents draw on the testimony of witnesses -- in most cases, the prisoners' fellow prisoners -- whose words are unreliable, either because they were subjected to torture or other forms of coercion (sometimes not in Guantánamo, but in secret prisons run by the CIA), or because they provided false statements to secure better treatment in Guantánamo...
Ibn al-Shaykh al-Libi (ISN 212), the emir of a military training camp for which Abu Zubaydah was the gatekeeper, who, despite having his camp closed by the Taliban in 2000, because he refused to allow it to be taken over by al-Qaeda, is described in these documents as Osama bin Laden's military commander in Tora Bora. Soon after his capture in December 2001, al-Libi was rendered by the CIA to Egypt, where, under torture, he falsely confessed that al-Qaeda operatives had been meeting with Saddam Hussein to discuss obtaining chemical and biological weapons. Al-Libi recanted this particular lie, but it was nevertheless used by the Bush administration to justify the invasion of Iraq in March 2003. Al-Libi was never sent to Guantánamo, although at some point, probably in 2006, the CIA sent him back to Libya, where he was imprisoned, and where he died, allegedly by committing suicide, in May 2009.
Yasim Basardah (ISN 252), a Yemeni known as a notorious liar. As the Washington Post reported in February 2009, he was given preferential treatment in Guantánamo after becoming what some officials regarded as a significant informant, although there were many reasons to be doubtful.
Abd al-Hakim Bukhari (ISN 493), a Saudi imprisoned by al-Qaeda as a spy, who was liberated by US forces from a Taliban jail before being sent, inexplicably, to Guantánamo (along with four other men liberated from the jail) is regarded in the files as a member of al-Qaeda, and a trustworthy witness.
Abd al-Rahim Janko (ISN 489), a Syrian Kurd, tortured by al-Qaeda as a spy and then imprisoned by the Taliban along with Abd al-Hakim Bukhari, above, is also used as a witness, even though he was mentally unstable. As his assessment in June 2008 stated, "Detainee is on a list of high-risk detainees from a health perspective ... He has several chronic medical problems. He has a psychiatric history of substance abuse, depression, borderline personality disorder, and prior suicide attempt for which he is followed by behavioral health for treatment."
These are just some of the most obvious cases, but alert readers will notice that they are cited repeatedly in what purports to be the government's evidence, and it should, as a result, be difficult not to conclude that the entire edifice constructed by the government is fundamentally unsound, and that what the Guantánamo Files reveal, primarily, is that only a few dozen prisoners are genuinely accused of involvement in terrorism.
The rest, these documents reveal on close inspection, were either innocent men and boys, seized by mistake, or Taliban foot soldiers, unconnected to terrorism. Moreover, many of these prisoners were actually sold to US forces, who were offering bounty payments for al-Qaeda and Taliban suspects, by their Afghan and Pakistani allies -- a policy that led ex-President Musharraf to state, in his 2006 memoir, In the Line of Fire, that, in return for handing over 369 terror suspects to the US, the Pakistani government “earned bounty payments totalling millions of dollars.”
Uncomfortable facts like these are not revealed in the deliberations of the Joint Task Force, but they are crucial to understanding why what can appear to be a collection of documents confirming the government's scaremongering rhetoric about Guantánamo -- the same rhetoric that has paralyzed President Obama, and revived the politics of fear in Congress -- is actually the opposite: the anatomy of a colossal crime perpetrated by the US government on 779 prisoners who, for the most part, are not and never have been the terrorists the government would like us to believe they are.

Guantánamo Bay files: Al-Qaida assassin 'worked for MI6'
Of course, they are all pawns for the intelligence agencies...get it? If you don't, I don't care anymore, I've written a zillion articles about it and after 10 years if you haven't figured out the War on Terror is a sham, you probably never will. Of course you could search this website for the Christmas Bomber, the 93 WTC bombing, Newburgh terror cell, TImes Square Bomber or David Headley...that would give you an idea, but probably better you just keep on believing in the government fairy tales, gives you that warm and cozy feeling.
From The Guardian
An al-Qaida operative accused of bombing two Christian churches and a luxury hotel in Pakistan in 2002 was at the same time working for British intelligence, according to secret files on detainees who were shipped to the US military's Guantánamo Bay prison camp.
Adil Hadi al Jazairi Bin Hamlili, an Algerian citizen described as a "facilitator, courier, kidnapper, and assassin for al-Qaida", was detained in Pakistan in 2003 and later sent to Guantánamo Bay.
But according to Hamlili's Guantánamo "assessment" file, one of 759 individual dossiers obtained by the Guardian, US interrogators were convinced that he was simultaneously acting as an informer for British and Canadian intelligence...

Normalizing Evil: The NY Times’ Curious Take on the Gitmo Files
F&*K the lying warmongering New York Times. Once a good paper, now you can wipe your ass with it, that is if you don't mind blood on your toilet paper.
From Prison Planet.
More confirmation of imperial perfidy is on tap today from the trove of classified files originally obtained by WikiLeaks on the U.S. concentration camp in Guantanamo Bay. Most of the information released so far was already known — to the very, very few who cared to find out — having emerged in dribs and drabs and fragments in various places over the years. But to see it gathered together, in raw form, in the words of the perpetrators and accomplices of this vast, still-ongoing crime, is a powerful, and sickening, experience.
Almost as sickening as the atrocities themselves, however, is the way the release has been played in the New York Times, whose coverage of the document dump will set the tone for the American media and political establishments. The Times’ take is almost wholly devoted to showing how evil and dangerous a handful of the hundreds of Gitmo detainees were, and to justifying Barack Obama’s betrayal of his promises to close the concentration camp. We are treated to lurid tales (many if not most of them extracted under torture, but who cares about that?) of monsters seething with irrepressible hatred of America, and so maniacally devoted to jihad that they inject themselves with libido-deadening drugs to ward off any sexual distractions from their murderous agenda...

Competition: Paper vs Metal
This opinion below by Max Keiser is important because it reveals the tragic fallacy of a lot of mainstream republican and even some libertarian thinking in the U.S. The government can of course play a role in helping to spur competition as opposed to bailing out the giant corporations who control the world and caving in to their every whim.
From Max Keiser.
Competition is the ultimate regulator. In the USA and UK, the FSA, SEC, SFO – supposed regulators – are the playthings of the kleptocrats and so we don’t have any true competition. Free market competition produces more social justice than top-down government fiat for sure. But there is also a role for government in helping to spur competition. Not only can they enforce laws but they can also protect the public domain – in the example of the environment – the government should continue protecting as much of the public domain as possible (expanding parks, etc.). This is the domain bought and paid for by the public via wars, taxes and hard work. And corporations should be happy to compete in the areas open to them to compete. Obviously, in the case of energy, had the government simply enforced regulations and protected our common wealth and public domain, corporations would have been forced to compete for alternative means of generating energy and we’d already be well past fossil fuels and combustion engines by now. But by subsidizing grossly inefficient corporations like energy companies we get a situation in the U.S. like Nigeria: oil driven kleptocrats bent on eco-holocaust and proliferating poverty. Corporations that need more of the public domain to survive are by definition non-competitive, inefficient corporations that should be left for dead.

Expatriate Your Wallet
From The Daily Reckoning and Max Keiser
By Terry Coxon
04/22/11 If everything you own is held in your own name in your own country, then you are not merely exposed, you are vulnerable absolutely, to whatever decisions the government might make about how you should behave and who gets the wealth you’ve earned. Tomorrow’s new government measure, which might land out of the blue, could be a law that affects everyone, or it could be a rule devised to deal with people like you. Or, it could be an administrative action aimed at you alone. In any case, with all your assets at home, you’d find out how the lobster feels when his trap is being hauled out of the water. Nothing he can do about it.
The only way to protect yourself against the risk of being boiled in a government pot is to keep some of your assets in another country. Depending on how you go about it, the specific benefits you might achieve are:
Protection from currency exchange controls
Protection from the confiscation of precious metals
A lower profile as a lawsuit target
Income tax planning advantages
Estate planning advantages
Easier access to investments in other countries
A measure of financial privacy
Practical readiness to move additional assets quickly
Psychological readiness to think and act internationally when you need to
There are many ways to go about getting those benefits. None is right for everyone, and they all come with some element of cost or inconvenience. Here’s the main menu.
Small bank account. A small account at a foreign bank gives you a ready and private landing spot if you ever decide you want to move a large amount of money in a hurry. If you’re a US person, the account is non-reportable, so long as the balance (together with any other foreign financial accounts you own) never reaches $10,000.
Large bank account. A large account at a foreign bank also provides a landing spot for anything you want to send later. If foreign exchange controls are ever imposed, the new rules may require you to repatriate the money – or they may not. Depending on the specifics of the new rules, your account may be grandfathered. In that case, the overseas funds would enable you to travel outside your own country while others are forced to stay at home.
A foreign bank account also slows things down if you’re ever under attack. It’s safe from an instant seizure by functionaries of your own government or by the unassisted order of a court in your own country.
The disadvantage of a large bank account vs. a small bank account is the loss of privacy. If you’re a US person, you are required to report your foreign financial accounts if their aggregate value reaches $10,000.
Physical gold. Gold stored in a safe deposit box in a foreign bank is not a foreign financial account, nor is physical gold in segregated storage with a non-bank safe-keeping facility. So a US person can store an unlimited amount of metal that way without triggering any reporting requirements. Avoiding a need for annual reporting is a plus, but don’t rely too heavily on the privacy you get with a safe deposit box, since the steps the gold takes to get there may create records of their own...

USDA Moves to Let Monsanto Perform Its Own Environmental Impact Studies on GMOs
From Cryptogon.
In early April, the USDA made what I’m reading as a second response to Judge White, this one even more craven. To satisfy the legal system’s pesky demand for environmental impact studies of novel GMO crops, the USDA has settled upon a brilliant solution: let the GMO industry conduct its own environmental impact studies, or pay other researchers to.

Obama on Manning: “He Broke the Law.” So Much for that Trial?
From FDL
President Barack Obama made stunning accusations about accused Wikileaks whistleblower PFC Bradley Manning, directly asserting that Manning “broke the law.” Apparently the President of the United States of America and a self-described Constitutional scholar does not care that Manning has yet to be tried or convicted for any crime...
Obama the perpetual defender of the corrupt status quo...just oh so comfortable with the greedy pigs wallowing in the mud as the farmer comes around the corner with the hatchet.
Change? Oh yeah baby...change is coming soon. More war, bankruptcies, economic ruin and the dissolving of human rights in an ever darkening corrupt police state.
Does he have any idea? Oh no....so comfortable in the Washington, Pentagon, CIA, Wall Street bubble.
Maybe after he is president he can get a job working for Blackwater, Monsanto or maybe Kissinger will give him a job. FInally he will have escaped those pesky liberals that voted for him.

9/11 Responders Are Terrorists?
Up is down.....down is.....up.
From 9/11 Blogger and Reader Supported News.
Some days just leave me speechless - Angry - and more than a little pissed off.
This little treasure just takes my breath away. In order for 9/11 Responders to receive needed medical care and treatment, they have to be screened against the Department of Homeland Security Terrorism Watch List. It's the law.
Apparently, true patriot Florida Republican Rep. Cliff Stearns, attached an amendment to the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Law that was passed by Congress last May. This amendment bars any and all 9/11 Responders from treatment if they have not been cleared by DHS. Obviously rushing into burning and crumbling skyscrapers to save lives is a suspicious activity that indicates possible ties and sympathy to - terrorists...

Secret memos expose link between oil firms and invasion of Iraq By Paul Bignell

Secret memos expose link between oil firms and invasion of Iraq By Paul Bignell
Tuesday, 19 April 2011
Plans to exploit Iraq's oil reserves were discussed by government ministers and the world's largest oil companies the year before Britain took a leading role in invading Iraq, government documents show.
The papers, revealed here for the first time, raise new questions over Britain's involvement in the war, which had divided Tony Blair's cabinet and was voted through only after his claims that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.
The minutes of a series of meetings between ministers and senior oil executives are at odds with the public denials of self-interest from oil companies and Western governments at the time.
The documents were not offered as evidence in the ongoing Chilcot Inquiry into the UK's involvement in the Iraq war. In March 2003, just before Britain went to war, Shell denounced reports that it had held talks with Downing Street about Iraqi oil as "highly inaccurate". BP denied that it had any "strategic interest" in Iraq, while Tony Blair described "the oil conspiracy theory" as "the most absurd".
But documents from October and November the previous year paint a very different picture.
Five months before the March 2003 invasion, Baroness Symons, then the Trade Minister, told BP that the Government believed British energy firms should be given a share of Iraq's enormous oil and gas reserves as a reward for Tony Blair's military commitment to US plans for regime change...

CHAINSAW MASSACRE: U.S. and Nato backed Libyan Rebels Behead Surrendered Gaddafi Troops With Chainsaw. Your tax dollars at work.
Here is a good look up close and personal at our "brothers in arms," the freedom fighters that Mccain, Obama, Kissinger and Sarkozy are supporting. Suddenly Al-Qaeda are our pals now? If this were on CNN on Easter sunday I think many would vomit up their nice dinner, suddenly being forced to see the truth instead of the lie. If we were the good guys, we would be hoping that Gaddafi puts an end to these brutal fanatics. Instead McCain even goes so far as to call them 'heroes.'
What was that someone was saying about an uprising of lawyers, professors and teachers? Lies.
More information about the insanity in Libya can be found here.
Here is another video of Gaddafi troops killed by a French airstrike.

Bilderberg Insider: Kissinger Pushing For US Ground Invasion Of Libya
From Prison Planet
Globalists want protracted war to last through 2012
Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
Friday, April 22, 2011 – UPDATED 2:17PM CST
Despite the fact that the United States is embroiled in three major conflicts and can barely service its own gigantic debt, with Standard and Poor this week indicating the US will soon lose its triple-A credit rating, top globalist and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger recently told fellow elitists at three different globalist confabs that the US needs to launch a ground invasion of Libya and keep the war running for at least another year.
According to veteran Bilderberg journalist Jim Tucker, whose sources have proven routinely accurate in leaking discussion topics shared by globalists at their regular meetings, Kissinger gave almost the exact same speech at three different conferences over the past two weeks, firstly during an April 8-10 get-together at the George Washington University’s Elliot School of International Affairs, then at an Aspen Institute session on “Values and Diplomacy” at the National Cathedral, and finally during the Bretton Woods II conference in New Hampshire.
“Kissinger, visibly depressed, gave a rationale for the war on Libya that the TC (Trilateral Commission) and its brother group, Bilderberg, want to keep rolling, according to an inside source who has proved reliable for years. Both groups want the war extended through 2012 to generate turmoil throughout the Middle East and pressure the United States into attacking Iran on behalf of Israel. Which would also produce huge war profits,” writes Tucker.
With President Obama keen to oversee more “mission creep” in Libya, by sending unmanned drones to intensify the air bombardment, Kissinger made it clear that the ultimate intention was to do what Obama specifically promised would never happen, a US ground invasion...

The Corporate Mugging of America
The politicians left and right are largely fooling themselves or at least fooling the population that cutting a few billion dollars here or there will solve our debt problem. It is a charade. As Nomi Prins says:
"Much of the debt problem, most of the debt problem, arguably all of the debt problem has happened because of this imparting of debt to bailout Wall Street, to subsidize the financial system, to go back and forth between the Fed who buys the debt, the treasury increases the debt, the Fed buys the debt, and has a sort of back and forth ball going between them which only decreases our value as a nation, our entire you know, book, our balance sheet as a nation, and the Fed will continue to do this. We know that when June comes along the fed is going to go from QE2 to QE whatever..."
Of course our biggest industry, which is the war and empire industry, the death industry, is also another state financed and furnished industry which ends up costing us more then it is worth. Corporations like GE are paying little or no tax, while the government baffoons try to soak out more money from unions, entitlement cuts, or with increased taxes for the middle class to pay for their bailing out of the Wall Street and corporate war machine. The status quo in America cannot continue successfully, but it will most likely continue, possibly leaving America, and perhaps the world in ruin.

Allies Drawn In to Libya Conflict as Rebels Fail to Capitalize on NATO Aid
"We will maintain the pressure on regime front-line troops to show NATO is resolute in its determination to protect civilians..."
Laughable. Then after that comes this: "The alliance urged civilians to move away from the loyalist forces it’s targeting in an effort to reduce civilian casualties. NATO carried out three air strikes overnight on Tripoli."
As if night bombing raids over heavily populated Tripoli is helping civilians.
War = Peace
Bombing = Saving Lives
Creating Unrest = Ending Unrest
And then of course remember how we are trying to cut down on the deficit. HA HA HA. Just throw another 25 million at another useless war. And remember that is only the beginning. This war will draw more and more forces in a la Vietnam. And Libya is only a staging area, a small skirmish being acted out as part of a larger world war geopolitical scheme that will ultimately bankrupt completely the U.S. and UK and possibly other allies if they continue on this path. The U.S. Dollar will die. The present leadership in the West will lead their countries to ruin. It's all set up and exactly as unavoidable as hitting the ground after jumping off a cliff. Splat goes the Western World. Prepare for impact.
From Bloomberg.
By Patrick Donahue and Maher Chmaytelli
April 21 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. and its allies are being drawn more deeply into an intervention they had expected would quickly topple Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi, as the deaths of two reporters underscored the conflict’s violence.
The U.S. announced yesterday it will provide $25 million in aid to Libya’s disorganized and poorly equipped rebels, while Italy, France and the U.K. dispatched military advisers. The rebels, who have also received light weapons from Qatar, have failed to capitalize on a NATO-led air campaign that French President Nicolas Sarkozy pledged yesterday to intensify.
“In the next few days, we will maintain the pressure on regime front-line troops to show NATO is resolute in its determination to protect civilians,” the North Atlantic Treaty Organization said in a statement. NATO Running Out Of Ammunition In Libya "Oil Liberation" Campaign
From Zerohedge
Where does one even start with this one: US launches air campaign against oil rich country under pretext of humanitarian intervention (while ignoring comparable events in Syria and Iran). US realizes it does not actually use Libyan oil, government runs out of money, hits debt ceiling, leading to decision to pull out of Libya after it is uncovered that CIA operatives had been laying the groundwork for a government overthrow for months, and a scramble to avoid Iraq deja vu ensues. US hands over military campaign to ragtag NATO force led by France. NATO "air superiority" force bombs rebel units; Libyan rebels lose previously held positions and oil wells. Libyan government on verge of repelling US and NATO forces, leading to... NATO runs out of ammunition. There is no point to even comment on this increasingly more surreal chain of events...
...Bottom line: this whole "plan" has been a total disaster from the beginning. And good luck Obama trying to sell a repeat US incursion in what even the idiot electorate now sees through as nothing than another Bush-like attempt to extract oil and implement Halliburton as the chief executive authority. That particular record has already been played.

Inflation Versus Hyperinflation -- The Crucial Difference
From Taipan Publishing Group
and Max Keiser.
...That is one of the great ironies at this juncture of financial history. The deflation monster still has not been vanquished! It is simply hiding under the bed, biding its time until the Fed-and-China-created stimulus bubble pops.
And when that bubble DOES pop, that's when things get really frightening. When the global economy endures some domino chain combination of Japan/Middle East/China/America implosion, the threat of Great Depression 2.0 comes roaring back, bigger and uglier than before (as all the extend and pretend actions taken until now have only made the problems worse).
That is the point where true panic comes in... when the attempt to stop "normal" inflation triggers an economic collapse that rivals Great Depression conditions. At that juncture, it will be apparent to all that the Federal Reserve has run out of bullets... that "more stimulus" simply cannot work... that trillions have already been thrown down the drain.
It is then, when the monetary authorities wet their pants in the face of a new deflationary panic, that the real threat of hyperinflation returns to the fore. If all hope becomes lost in a hopeless situation, we could see the Fed desperately propose something like QE2 times 10, on the order of not $600 billion but $6 trillion. That is when the real horror would begin...

It’s Official: “Arab Spring” Subversion U.S. Funded
From Prison Planet.

April 16, 2011
As American bombs rain down upon Libya on the premise that Qaddafi was brutalizing indigenous pro-democratic demonstrators, the accusing fingers of Libya, Iran, China, Syria, Belarus, and a growing number of other nations are pointing at Washington for funding and plotting regime change against their respective governments. Either in an act of absolute hubris or to spin emerging evidence that the US indeed has been funding and preparing the ground for the “Arab Spring” for years, New York Times has recently published “U.S. Groups Helped Nurture Arab Uprisings.”
Essentially throwing these activists under the bus, New York Times exposes that the April 6Youth Movement in Egypt, the Bahrain Center for Human Rights, and Entsar Qadhi of Yemen amongst others, received training and financing from the International Republican Institute, the National Democratic Institute, and the Neo-Conservative lined Freedom House.

LETTER TO THE RULING CLASS
From WeAintGotTimeToBleed.com
You control our world. You’ve poisoned the air we breathe, contaminated the water we drink, and copyrighted the food we eat. We fight in your wars, die for your causes, and sacrifice our freedoms to protect you. You’ve liquidated our savings, destroyed our middle class, and used our tax dollars to bailout your unending greed. We are slaves to your corporations, zombies to your airwaves, servants to your decadence. You’ve stolen our elections, assassinated our leaders, and abolished our basic rights as human beings. You own our property, shipped away our jobs, and shredded our unions. You’ve profited off of disaster, destabilized our currencies, and raised our cost of living. You’ve monopolized our freedom, stripped away our education, and have almost extinguished our flame. We are hit… we are bleeding… but we ain’t got time to bleed. We will bring the giants to their knees and you will witness our revolution!
Sincerely,
The Serfs.

Global Radiation Levels 'No Longer Negligible' In Milk, Water, Produce
From Care2.com
A French research authority on radioactivity is now warning expectant European mothers and young children to avoid drinking milk or rainwater, while EPA data released on Sunday shows that at least three different milk samples -- all from different parts of the US -- have tested positive for radioactive Iodine-131 at levels that exceed the current maximum thresholds for safety.

Swat Team Storms House To Force Medicate Child With Unsafe Drug For 'Mental Condition', Imprisons Mother...(Now Released), But Takes Child
Calling on CIA-State Ober-Propaganda Specialist Obama for help? Not a good idea. The overlord works for Wall Street, not you.
WE WILL MEDICATE YOUR CHILDREN! BE WARNED! HA HA HA!
From Prison Planet
Maryanne Godboldo was arraigned before 36th District Magistrate Sidney Barthwell Jr. on charges of firing a weapon in a dwelling, felonious assault, resisting and obstructing an officer, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Her bond was set at $500,000.
“I’m shocked by the amount of the bond. I never dreamed it would be set so high and she wouldn’t be free to care for her daughter,” said an outraged Deborah Thomas.
“Child Protective Services was trying to force her child to take a dangerous medication, Risperdal, against her will. We have been able to get a court order signed by [Wayne County Circuit Court] Judge Richard Skutt, staying the administration of this drug, which is not approved by the FDA in such cases. That’s why they put her in Hawthorne, so they could dope her up,” family attorney Allison Folmar told the media.
The Godboldo case is yet another example of CPS working in league with the police in order to kidnap children. Godboldo was obviously an excellent mother and not a threat to the police. The fact they sent a tank to her apartment is more evidence that the state will react in a violent knee-jerk fashion when its authority is challenged.
From Risperdalsideeffects.com
Risperdal is an antipsychotic medication intended to treat the symptoms of schizophrenia, but it also carries some serious side effects. More than 10 million people have used Risperdal, allowing Risperdal to be the number one prescribed antipsychotic. For Johnson & Johnson, the makers of Risperdal the drug reaps high financial gains, bringing in annual global sales of $2.1 billion. So successful, Risperdal is the second biggest selling medicine for J&J. More and more, Risperdal is not being prescribed for just schizophrenia or other severe mental illnesses, but for behavioral disorders in children and in elderly patients with dementia and Alzheimers disease, including delusions, aggression, and anxiety.
At the start of April 2003, an announcement was made warning of serious effects of Risperdal. The effects of Risperdal included both strokes and stroke- like events, such as blood clots and hemorrhages. The effects of Risperdal have been observed to affect especially elderly Risperdal patients. J&J said that in addition to the thousands of letters being sent to health care professionals warning of the effects of Risperdal, an update to the Risperdal label would be made.

Was Polanski's Ghost Writer Describing Reality? Is The CIA Fully In Control Of The American Executive Branch?
Was Polanki's arrest in Switzerland for a decades old charge while working on the film just a 'coincidence'? In describing how a photo links a British Prime Minister to the CIA, could the film have come too close to reality for some in shadowy positions of power?
The President with No Past: Obama's Electability in 2012
From OpedNews
By Dr Stuart Jeanne Bramhall
...For me, Madsen's most interesting and credible findings concern Obama's family, rather than the President himself. I think they establish quite clearly that Obama's parents, maternal grandparents and stepfather -- like the Bush family -- all had intelligence links. And that Obama has fabricated many details about his past to conceal this...
The scenario Obama lays out in Dreams from My Father about his parents' background differs markedly from limited information available from school and other public school records. He indicates his parents first met in a Russian class at the University of Hawaii in [1960] ( In Dreams from My Father , Obama says 1959, when her yearbook indicates she was still in Seattle attending Mercer Island High school). However Wayne Madsen points out that Stanley Armour Dunham, Ann's father, already knew Obama senior. He has a 1959 photo of Dunham officially welcoming Obama senior with a traditional lei ceremony. This suggests that Stanley Armour probably relocated to Hawaii in 1959, with his family following a year later. Moreover the photo raises the interesting question of why an alleged furniture salesman, with no prior connections to the Honolulu business community or the University of Hawaii is welcoming the first Kenya student to enroll there...
Madsen believes that rather than being a simple goat herder, as Obama claims, his father was one of 280 students from British eastern and southern African colonies sponsored to study in the US under the CIA-inspired Airlift Africa project. The goal of the project was to counter the influence of Soviet and Chinese backed rebels and leaders as these colonies gained independence.
It's also Madsen's belief that furniture sales was merely a cover, that Stanley Armour Dunham had a CIA role in overseeing Airlift Africa and other foreign students at the University of Hawaii. Even more mysterious is Madsen's photo of the family in Beirut, Lebanon in the early fifties. Madsen also notes the existence of an FBI file on Armour Dunham (J Edgar Hoover commonly kept files on covert CIA agents) which was allegedly destroyed in 1997.
Who Was the Real Ann Dunham?
Obama also likes to portray his mother as a struggling single parent and a free spirit and "sixties child." However Madsen has compiled considerable evidence suggesting she was actually a career employee (and possibly a NOC -- an agent under non-official cover like Valerie Plame) for a series of known CIA fronts (the USAID-funded Lembaga Pendidikan Pembinaan Manajemen, Development Alternatives Inc., the Ministry of Industry Provincial Development Program, the Ford Foundation Southeast Asia regional office, and the Asian Development Bank). Among her other duties in Indonesia in the 1970s, was "anthropological" field work. Madsen believes this was actually intelligence gathering to consolidate the CIA-sponsored coup (1965-67) that overthrew Indonesian president Sukarno. (see http://www.t-room.us/2011/03/by-wayne-madsen-obamas-cia-mommy-dearest-%E2%80%94-identifying-indonesians-for-assassination/)...

Senate Panel Says Goldman Misled Clients, Lawmakers on CDOs (1)
From Bloomberg.
April 13 (Bloomberg) -- Goldman Sachs Group Inc. designed, marketed and sold collateralized debt obligations that misled investors and created conflicts of interest as the company built short positions before the U.S. housing market collapsed, a Senate panel said in its report on the financial crisis...

Mubarak has heart attack during questioning

Perhaps this inconvenience is a little like Milošević’s death while being held at the Hague during his extended trial, or like many other coincidence cases.

John Pilger: On Obama. Obama worked for company linked to CIA
From All Voices
John Pilger is an Australian journalist and documentary maker. He works out of London UK. He was twice awarded the UK Journalist of the Year Award and he has made documentaries that have received Academy Awards in the U.S. and Britain.
The appended video examines Obama as the creation of corporate marketing and notes that he has carried on with many Bush policies. This is an older video but still interesting. In particular he notes that Obama worked for a CIA linked company after graduating from university. Of course this in itself does not prove anything directly but certainly raises suspicions about whether he himself had links to the intelligence service...

US 'permanently' denies visa to German journalist probing Argentine rights violations
From The Canadian Press
Weber has long reported for German news media, specializing in investigations of Nazi war criminals and human rights violations in South America. She is perhaps best known for her lawsuit that forced Germany's intelligence service last year to open thousands of files on top Nazi Adolf Eichmann, some of which showed that the U.S. and Germany knew he was hiding in Argentina after World War II.
...Back in Argentina, Weber then tried to apply properly for a journalism visa at the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires, but was denied on Jan. 26. She then appealed, and received a March 18 letter saying she remains "permanently ineligible" because she "misrepresented material facts."

United Nations Installs IMF Stooge in Ivory Coast

It was neo-colonialism in action. Under the cover of humanitarianism, the UN and France invaded the former French colonial possession and arrested Laurent Gbagbo, the country’s elected – although disputed – leader.
The globalists then installed Alassane Ouattara, a western-trained economist (at Drexel Institute of Technology in Pennsylvania) and IMF stooge. He was appointed director of the African Department at the IMF and in May of 1987 became Counsellor to the Managing Director at the globalist loan sharking operation.
In 2000, Ouattara was disqualified by the country’s Supreme Court from an election run due to his Burkina Faso nationality. The Ivory Coast constitution did not allow non-citizens to run for presidency. Ouattara’s supporters took the streets and staged violent protests in retaliation.
Laurent Gbagbo was elected. In 2002, while Gbagbo was out of the country, a military coup was attempted. It was blamed on the former president Robert Guéï. Others blamed Ouattara, however, and the IMF minion sought refuge in the French embassy and his house was burned down.
Elections were scheduled to take place in 2005 but were pushed back five years. After Gbagbo claimed to have won the election in 2010, the UN and various foreign governments insisted he step down and allow the UN employee to assume power. The UN and the French sent troops to help Ouattara get rid of his opponent.
An orchestrated campaign of terror followed. Islamic forces loyal to Ouattara slaughtered a thousand fleeing Christian civilians in Duékoué, hacking them to death with machetes. They also burned villages as they headed for the capital. In addition to wanton murder, Ouattara’s soldiers raped women and girls, according to Human Rights Watch...
...Obama wasted little time. He called Alassane Ouattara and congratulated him for violently taking over the country and discussed the importance of re-establishing globalist trade to help restart Ivory Coast’s economy, according to VOANews, the CIA propaganda front. In other words, the globalists will make sure the Ivory Coast remains a third world hell hole perpetually indebted to the IMF and the banksters.

On a more serious note, I agree with Alex Jones' statement on his radio show that the true motive behind such absurdity is to condition the public (and the youth) to constant examination and control.

Britain is a 'transit lounge for war criminals': Furious row as Gaddafi's torturer-in-chief jets out for talks in Qatar
Well if your own leaders are war criminals, then this should come as no surprise...for the 'good' guys.
From Mail Online.
The Coalition was accused of turning Britain into a 'transit lounge for alleged war criminals' today after it was disclosed that Libyan defector Musa Kusa had been allowed to leave the country.
Muammar Gaddafi's former right-hand man is travelling to Qatar ahead of a meeting of the international alliance's Contact Group tomorrow.
A Foreign Office spokeswoman said Kusa was 'free to come and go', and would be seeing representatives of the Doha government and others to 'offer insights' on the situation...

The former Libyan foreign minister, dubbed the ‘envoy of death’, spent years in charge of Gaddafi’s murderous intelligence services, when he is said to have played a key role in supplying arms to the IRA.
Kusa is widely suspected of involvement in the Lockerbie bombing and the murder of British WPC Yvonne Fletcher. But the Foreign Office said last night he was ‘free to come and go as he pleases’.

"Axis Of Good", UK, US, France and Israel Use Depleted Uranium On Civilians They "Help"
Just like everything else sold to you, it's a sale and nothing more. It's a PR, propaganda OP, a crafted manipulation to achieve whatever they want to achieve. As for really 'helping,' forget about it.

...There are also more reports today of yet another NATO strike from the air killing Libyan civilians.
The Al-Jamahiriya news agency in Libya reports that a number of civilians, including women and children, as well as several police, were killed in an attack on Kikla, 100 kilometers south of the capital Tripoli.
Last week NATO refused to apologise for killing some 15 civilians during an airstrike, despite acknowledging it was to blame for the deaths.
Despite these ongoing aerial bombardments, Britain and France have declared that they are unhappy with the level of NATO activity and have demanded that the bombing be stepped up.
Both the British and the French foreign ministers criticized NATO and called for other alliance countries to intensify their military operations...

Jim Rogers: Dollar will be debased gold and silver to hit new highs
From India Info Line
Daily Bell: What about the wars America is prosecuting and its military stance generally? Affordable? Supportable?
Jim Rogers: Well it is certainly not affordable. America has got troops in over 100 countries and it is just making enemies and not helping America's standing in the world. As for supportable of course not! How can anybody justify America now getting involved in Libya? I mean if America is going to support opposition to everybody in the world we don't like, America is soon going to be totally bankrupt, even more bankrupt. Why are we supporting the guy in Yemen and not the guy in Libya? I can see absolutely no intellectual, philosophical, or even political justification for what we are doing.
Daily Bell: Can the US sustain the war in Afghanistan for another three years? Will it have success in Westernizing that country?
Jim Rogers: No, look at the size of Afghanistan; I don't think the guys in Washington have a clue how big it is. Sure, we can stay there for three years and spend huge amounts of money, human lives, and we are making our situation worse not better. So we can stay there, but it is only driving us further and further into problems.
Daily Bell: Is Pakistan being destabilized as a result?
Jim Rogers: It's been destabilized. We are making more and more enemies in Pakistan every day and this is giving more psychological support to the enemies. They have someone else to rail against, more reasons to rail against the US. Pakistan seems to be more and more unstable. They have nuclear weapons; they have a lot of people who don't like the US, and they have a lot of people who don't like India.
Pakistan is one of the ten largest countries in the world population wise, and it's in a very strategic area, I hope it's not going to happen; I hope they're not going to destabilize further, but this is how big wars start. People aren't worried, and then all of a sudden, everybody's in over their head.
Daily Bell: Some say the US is trying to surround China. Is there more military tension between the US and China these days? Is that a bad thing?
Jim Rogers: I don't know there's more military tension between China and the US these days. The US is in Pakistan, but the Pakistanis have been allies of the Chinese for a long time. If Pakistan is becoming more destabilized, then they are not going to be an ally of the US against China I assure you. No one in Pakistan is going to say, let's support the US against China.
Everybody knows the US is becoming weaker and weaker geo-politically and militarily. If Venezuela and Colombia went to war tomorrow, there's nothing the US could do. We're over-extended in every way. I think our real position is even weaker than it appears. We may be talking a good game, but China is developing on it's own, and since I don't see that they are doing anything that threatens the US militarily, I am perplexed with this question.
Politicians may be railing more and more about China, but that's a verbal encirclement of China, not a military one. China is the richest country in the world now and we are the largest debtors in the world. That accounts for verbal attacks. Pressuring China militarily won't change the equation.
Daily Bell: Where is gold headed? Silver?
Jim Rogers: Everything I have told the world about gold and silver is going to continue to happen. Eventually gold will be a couple of thousand dollars an ounce, and probably much higher, as currencies become more debased, who knows how high. Silver will definitely reach new highs. As I have said, the US dollar is in serious trouble, and will be debased a great deal in the future, and eventually will be problematical itself. So gold and silver will be measured by the US dollar but I hope there will still be some sound currencies no matter what happens.

April Gallop Sues For 9/11 Truth With George W. Bush’s Cousin As Judge
From Disinfo
Why then were there no anti-aircraft defenses, Gallop asks, or alarm warnings inside the Pentagon?
Gallop was briefed by officials not to tell her story in public; she also received an email from a Fox News reporter who had been told by the Pentagon not to interview her.
Gallop now believes that officials within the Bush Administration conspired to destroy the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center and WTC 7 – the third building brought down at 5:20 p.m. that day – with pre-placed explosives detonated after the planes hit.
On April 5th, 2011, at 11 a.m., at the Federal Courthouse at 141 Church Street in New Haven, Connecticut, the case of Gallop v. Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Myers will be heard by the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit…
....April’s attorney William Veale gave a radio interview with Kevin Barrett after the hearing on his No Lies Radio Show…
Summary: William Veale can be heard about 23 minutes into the interview. He discusses his suspicion that Judge John M. Walker, one of the three on the panel is potentially related to George Walker Bush. During the hearing, Veale did not have access to Wikipedia* to check, but thought “You take a look at him, and he’s a Bush.”
He filed a motion to disqualify Walker, but the Court denied it....

‘Gold's advance to super cycle indicates demise of dollar, collapse of economy’
The dollar might not collapse here, but if it does, it's of course extremely serious. When serious business publications, billionaires, and financial experts are talking seriously about the demise of the dollar, ignore the warnings at your own risk.
From International Business Times
The runaway rise in gold prices is here to stay. And that is not just bad news to the U.S. economy. A sustained gold and oil boom indicates that the dollar is slipping into grave danger and the economy closer to collapse.
"... when these commodities go up in price it is a sign that the U.S. dollar is dying and that our country is getting closer to economic collapse," Michael Snyder wrote in Daily Markets on Thursday.
In simple words, the gold and silver boom indicates that investors everywhere in the world are losing trust in the dollar and the U.S. government treasuries. And they seek out something they can trust more...

If the slide continues and 70.792 breaks down, that would represent an extremely serious emergency and probably the end of the current global financial system...

Special Forces scandal as officers are held 'for trying to leak secrets'
From The Daily Mail.
By STEPHEN WRIGHT, DAVID WILLIAMS and IAN DRURY
Last updated at 8:39 AM on 9th April 2011
Two senior Special Forces officers suspected of leaking details of highly sensitive covert operations have been arrested under the Official Secrets Act, the Daily Mail can reveal.
The unprecedented arrests came as members of the SAS and SBS were deployed in Libya in preparation for airstrikes and to liaise with rebels and identify stranded British oil workers for rescue.
It was unclear last night what the officers are suspected of leaking, but it is understood it involves attempts to pass it to a major broadcaster.
The investigation is focused primarily on information relating to the war in Afghanistan against the Taliban and Al Qaeda. But it is also looking at secret information the men had access to about Libya and other countries where Special Forces have been operating.
Such is the sensitivity of the case that the Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Defence and the Home Office are being regularly briefed on its progress by anti-terrorist officers. Whitehall officials last night described the allegations against the men, who would have had a high security clearance, as ‘extremely serious’.

Turk - Twin “Dollar Destroyers” to Create Earthshaking Collapse
From King World News
With gold trading at all-time highs and silver at multi-decade highs, today King World News interviewed James Turk out of Spain. When asked about the US dollar Turk stated, “The key development is that the US dollar is in fact breaking down. This is something that we have been talking about for a few weeks now and the dollar index here in Europe is at the lowest levels since November of 2009. We’re closing in on those lows of 74.17, once that level breaks the floodgates open. Put another way, the dollar falls of the edge of the cliff.”
“Let me give you some reasons why I am focusing so much on the dollar. Here in Europe they have started acknowledging the growing inflationary pressures. As a consequence the ECB yesterday raised interest rates a quarter of a percent. It’s a small step but going in the right direction. What the KWN readers globally need to understand is that what we are seeing is a trend change in interest rates, a directional change in the cycle.
So it is not too surprising to see the Euro breaking above the $1.42 level that we discussed in our last interview. That was an important tactical point and suggests that the Euro is headed toward the $1.50 mark. Meanwhile, on the other side of the Atlantic, the Federal Reserve is asleep at the switch because they contend there is no inflation. Here we have crude oil prices at $112 a barrel and gasoline prices are putting a big dent in the consumer’s pocketbook.
It is important for the readers to understand that there are two “dollar destroyers” at work here. In addition to the Federal Reserve, the politicians in Washington DC are spending money so quickly that the federal deficit for the first six months of this year has already eclipsed the first six months of last year by roughly 10% despite promises to control spending. These twin “dollar destroyers” have created a significant possibility of a waterfall decline leading to an earthshaking dollar collapse.”...

Jim Rogers: U.S. Dollar may be Near “Tipping Point”
From Beacon Equity
“If it keeps going down, I’m going to have to dump the rest of my dollars, and then it’s all over for the dollar.”
“If it goes down 3% or 4% from here, I would have to sell and get out and hope I’m still solvent. Then it’s going to, you know, multi-decade new lows.”
Somewhere along the line we’re going to have a tipping point for the dollar, then, it’s all over,” Investor Jim Rogers chairman of Rogers Holding said about the dollar in recent interviews

An intrepid Japanese duo has decided to do the reverse Fukushima commute and in a stunning filmed expose, drives through cracked roads, herds of animals in city streets and ghost towns to measure the radiation from 30 km out to 1.5 km away from Fukushima, where it hits 112 microsieverts, or roughly 350 times normal radiation. Marc Faber - Mr. Bernanke is a Murderer of the Middle Class
From King World News
...“Well my friend Eric Sprott he maintains that there is a genuine shortage of silver and that may be the case so silver may still move up...Now with the loss of purchasing power of the dollar and other currencies people are concerned if they have say a million or a billion dollars that the value of these dollars will one day be next to nothing.
So they have to invest in something and so they look for real estate, they look for equities and of course they come to realize slowly, I have to say very slowly that gold and silver are not commodities in the sense of industrial commodities, but that they are currencies. Precious metals are basically currencies that are honest because you can’t increase the supply indefinitely. You can’t have QE2, QE3, QE4 in the gold market.
...If you print money everything will go up...and now the money printing doesn’t go into housing because we have an oversupply of housing, but it goes into equities and for Mr. Bernanke unfortunately into commodities. And this is lifting the cost of living of the median household, of the typical household in the US...Mr. Bernanke is a murderer, he’s a murderer of the middle class and the working class.”
The destruction of the middle class will be a huge issue going forward for the United States. As the chasm between the rich and the poor widens, in all likelihood we will see civil unrest in the US. I suspect in the end Faber will be right, Bernanke will continue to be a murderer of the middle class. He will be the “great destroyer” of the standard of living for most Americans.

Pig Recieves Pig's Foot In Mail
From CBS News.
Authorities intercepted a parcel this morning addressed to Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) containing a bloody pig's foot and a derogatory message, a source has confirmed to CBS News...
...Ibrahim Hooper, National Communications Director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations - a target of King's hearings - said he found the situation confusing. He said his organization regularly receives pig-themed hate messages, including letters smeared with bacon.
"My guess is it was an anti-Muslim bigot, and bigots not being brain surgeons they probably got their signals crossed," he said.
UPDATE: A source on Capitol Hill told NBC News that the note "contained anti-Semitic ramblings" and referenced the radicalization hearings. King is Roman Catholic.
Letters smeared with bacon? Pig's Feet? This is making me hungry.
Such a lovely mixture of hate, or orchestrated hate, in this one. They even threw in a little "anti-Semitic rambling." King is "Roman Catholic" according to the article. In any case, Roman, seems to fit. I guess this will add to his scared grandmother vote.
My guess is he sent it to himself, either for propaganda purposes, or maybe he knew he would be hungry.
Sorry, I'm just sooo insensitive.

Ron Paul And Dennis Kucinich Slam Obama Misuse Of War Powers
The sun is setting on the meglomaniac american military/corporate/financial empire. It is probably 5:30 or so and the sun has dipped into some clouds. Sometime in the next few years it will be a fireball sinking into night. Many of the country's power elite and their minions are blinded however, and are dancing around drooling and giggling in what they believe to be a day without end for their gloriously corrupt rule and schemes for the future. Though perhaps even they in their idiocy have noticed that the air has turned a slight bit colder, and the shadows around them have grown longer. Here are two american voices who see the sun sinking, and who believe it may be the opportunity for a new day to arise.

Former CIA officer blows lid off libya fraud live on CNN
From The American Dream
Every once in a while, establishment control of the mainstream media cracks for a moment. In an effort to achieve higher ratings, mainstream news programs will invite guests on that promise to be “interesting”, but then they will say something that is not part of the script and the entire system will go into a state of chaos for a moment. One example of this happened recently when two CNN “infobabes” interviewed former CIA officer Michael Scheuer about the situation on the ground in Libya. They asked Scheuer some questions regarding the role of the CIA in Libya, but the interview rapidly moved in some directions that the “infobabes” were not anticipating. Instead of sticking to the “Republican” or the “Democrat” script, Scheuer ripped both parties and he detailed many of the reasons why we should have never gone into Libya at all.
The “infobabes” grew increasingly uncomfortable as Scheuer described how large numbers of the resistance fighters in Libya have fought against U.S. troops in the Balkans, in Afghanistan and in Iraq. They did not seem pleased at all when Scheuer declared that the civil war in Libya is “none of our business” and that to the rest of the world this conflict looks like “Americans killing Muslims for oil” all over again.
The funniest part of the interview was when Scheuer accused one of the “infobabes” of “carrying the water for Mr. Obama”. After that statement, the female anchor that Scheuer was addressing was visibly flustered and quickly went to a commercial.
Video of this CNN interview with Michael Scheuer is posted below. This is a video that should be shared with everyone you know….

Transocean Sachs Golden Awards For Twin Eco Disasters
From Max Keiser.
Goldman Sachs Doubles Blankfein’s 2010 Pay to $19 Million
Transocean gives bonuses after Gulf of Mexico BP spill
Sin is washed away with bonus money. The bigger the sin – the more a company destroys the ecology or the economy – the bigger bonus they get. The media equates more money with greater moral authority. The more money you make, the more moral authority you have...
Of course Karl Rove summed it up best when he said:
"We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors ... and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do."
This is the arrogance that will bring down America. If you don't want to go down with the ship, consider leaving the country or at least leaving the currency, the U.S. Dollar.

The reporters seem perfectly relaxed until something seems to interrupt their thought patterns. To me, it doesn't seem like panic or nervousness at all. I wouldn't be surprised if someone is testing out a new (military) toy and having a good laugh. Apparently this was even done to Judge Judy, but we don't have a video of that one.

Exposed: The US-Saudi Libya deal
From Asia Times.
You invade Bahrain. We take out Muammar Gaddafi in Libya. This, in short, is the essence of a deal struck between the Barack Obama administration and the House of Saud. Two diplomatic sources at the United Nations independently confirmed that Washington, via Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, gave the go-ahead for Saudi Arabia to invade Bahrain and crush the pro-democracy movement in their neighbor in exchange for a "yes" vote by the Arab League for a no-fly zone over Libya - the main rationale that led to United Nations Security Council resolution 1973.
The revelation came from two different diplomats, a European and a member of the BRIC group, and was made separately to a US scholar and Asia Times Online. According to diplomatic protocol, their names cannot be disclosed. One of the diplomats said, "This is the reason why we could not support resolution 1973. We were arguing that Libya, Bahrain and Yemen were similar cases, and calling for a fact-finding mission. We maintain our official position that the resolution is not clear, and may be interpreted in a belligerent manner."
As Asia Times Online has reported, a full Arab League endorsement of a no-fly zone is a myth. Of the 22 full members, only 11 were present at the voting. Six of them were Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members, the US-supported club of Gulf kingdoms/sheikhdoms, of which Saudi Arabia is the top dog. Syria and Algeria were against it. Saudi Arabia only had to "seduce" three other members to get the vote.
Translation: only nine out of 22 members of the Arab League voted for the no-fly zone. The vote was essentially a House of Saud-led operation, with Arab League secretary general Amr Moussa keen to polish his CV with Washington with an eye to become the next Egyptian President.
Thus, in the beginning, there was the great 2011 Arab revolt. Then, inexorably, came the US-Saudi counter-revolution.
Profiteers rejoice
Humanitarian imperialists will spin en masse this is a "conspiracy", as they have been spinning the bombing of Libya prevented a hypothetical massacre in Benghazi. They will be defending the House of Saud - saying it acted to squash Iranian subversion in the Gulf; obviously R2P - "responsibility to protect" does not apply to people in Bahrain. They will be heavily promoting post-Gaddafi Libya as a new - oily - human rights Mecca, complete with US intelligence assets, black ops, special forces and dodgy contractors...

Another travesty: City interrupts wake to take back corpse of 9/11 first responder
From 9/11 Blogger
The family of NYPD policeman George Wong--who recently passed away at age 48 from what was determined to be a 9/11-related illness--was set to pay their respects at a wake when, 10 minutes before the ceremony was to begin, workers from the Medical Examiner's office entered and took the body back.
Apparently, the NYC Department of Health wasn't happy with the conclusion of Wong's doctor re the cause of his death, and exerted pressure to have the Medical Examiner's office examine his remains some more. In the end, the death certificate was changed to identifiy the cause of death as 'pending.'
Oh, how I wish I were making this up:
http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/city_ghouls_grab_cop_corpse_KfCZcBzQ9...
'The city's official policy remains that there is no conclusive link between exposure to Ground Zero toxins and "emerging illnesses, including cancer," said Health Department spokeswoman Susan Craig.
'...Only after any mention of 9/11 was scrubbed from his death certificate was the family allowed to collect the body yesterday -- at their own expense.'
Where potential liabilities are concerned, the behavior of the New York City government seems to know no bounds.
And in the meantime, we're all just supposed to join them in pretending not to see any 'conclusive link' between the post-9/11 toxicity at Ground Zero and the litany of illnesses suffered by 9/11 first resonders.
