Obama on Manning: “He Broke the Law.” So Much for that Trial?

From FDL

President Barack Obama made stunning accusations about accused Wikileaks whistleblower PFC Bradley Manning, directly asserting that Manning “broke the law.” Apparently the President of the United States of America and a self-described Constitutional scholar does not care that Manning has yet to be tried or convicted for any crime...

Obama the perpetual defender of the corrupt status quo...just oh so comfortable with the greedy pigs wallowing in the mud as the farmer comes around the corner with the hatchet.

Change? Oh yeah baby...change is coming soon. More war, bankruptcies, economic ruin and the dissolving of human rights in an ever darkening corrupt police state.

Does he have any idea? Oh no....so comfortable in the Washington, Pentagon, CIA, Wall Street bubble.

Maybe after he is president he can get a job working for Blackwater, Monsanto or maybe Kissinger will give him a job. FInally he will have escaped those pesky liberals that voted for him.

Philip J. Crowley Resigns Over Manning Treatment Statements

From Wikipedia.

On March 10, 2011, according to multiple first-hand accounts, Crowley "launched a public attack on the Pentagon for the way it is treating military prisoner Bradley Manning, the US soldier suspected of handing the US embassy cables to WikiLeaks."[1] Crowley told an audience of about twenty people at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Center for Future Civic Media that Manning was being "mistreated" in Defense Department custody, and that the Defense Department's treatment of Manning "is ridiculous and counterproductive and stupid."[2] When asked if his comments were on the record, Crowley replied: "Sure."[2][3]
Due to the controversial comments, and reportedly under pressure from the White House, Crowley will resign his position as State Department spokesman.[4]

DOJ subpoenas Twitter records of several WikiLeaks volunteers

Darth Obama and his minions at the Department Of Unjustice continue down their twisted path...

From Salon.

...The DOJ's investigation of a member of Iceland's Parliament -- as part of an effort to intimidate anyone supporting WikiLeaks and to criminalize journalism that exposes what the U.S. Government does -- is one of the most extreme acts yet in the Obama administration's always-escalating war on whistleblowers, and shows how just excessive and paranoid the administration is when it comes to transparency: all this from a President who ran on a vow to have the "most transparent administration in history" and to "Protect Whistleblowers."

U.S. Plans Manning Plea Bargain to Get Assange

From Prison Planet.

So determined is the U.S. government to corner Julian Assange, it plans to offer Pfc . Bradley Manning a plea bargain deal if he agrees to testify against the Wikileaks founder. Earlier in the week it was revealed that a secret grand jury was empaneled in northern Virginia to look at indicting Assange, who was released from jail yesterday in the United Kingdom...

...It appears likely the Justice Department will attempt to link Manning directly to Assange. Adrian Lamo, the former hacker who turned Manning in to the government, told the FBI that Assange had provided Manning with an encrypted internet conferencing service and a dedicated server for uploading the data ultimately released by Wikileaks....

...“When voters were asked whether ‘the owner of the website’ who received and leaked the classified government information should be arrested and put on trial, two-thirds (66 percent) think he should, according to a Fox News poll released Friday. When the focus was placed on the person who ‘stole and leaked the information,’ the feeling is even stronger, as 83 percent favor arrest and trial,” Fox News reported on Friday.
78 percent of respondents said the government has the right to keep classified national security information secret, even though 42 percent said they think the leaks of U.S. State Department cables were “just embarrassing” and did not seriously damage diplomatic relations.
Only 16 percent believe the government should be transparent.

Woa...what was that?

ONLY 16 PERCENT BELIEVE THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE TRANSPARENT.

Sheep is not even a fitting word anymore. How about dumb doomed slugs?

Soldier seized over Iraq WikiLeaks video

The US Army has arrested an American soldier serving in Iraq for allegedly leaking classified video of a helicopter gunning down several Iraqi civilians.

Specialist Bradley Manning was accused of transmitting the video of the airstrike to the whistleblower website, WikiLeaks, AFP reported on Monday.

The website released the shocking video in April showing US soldiers in an Apache helicopter killing dozens of Iraqi civilians, including two Reuters employees, in 2007.

The soldier was arrested at an Iraqi base nearly two weeks ago and is currently being held in Kuwait pending further investigation...

Of course the military won't be doing anything to the gleefully murdering troops from the video itself. As Defense Secretary Gates said in a Reuters article:

"We've investigated it very thoroughly," Gates said on ABC. The military's Central Command said last week it had no plans to open a new investigation.
