EU and EPA Raising Radiation Limits
Radiation is no problem at all. We will just raise the limits allowable, then it's fine. "...Permitting doses to the public that EPA itself estimates would cause a cancer in as much as every fourth person exposed, the group says." Gulp.

The EPA is preparing to dramatically increase permissible radioactive releases in drinking water, food and soil after “radiological incidents,” according to Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility.

Drinking water, for example, would have a huge increase in allowable public exposure to radioactivity, the group says, that would include:

Some japanese food now can be imported to the EU (and Austria) with such increased levels of radioactivity, that even in Japan they would not get into the trade. TOKYO (Reuters) - Radiation levels have soared in seawater near Japan's crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, officials said on Saturday, as engineers struggled to stabilize the power station two weeks after it was hit by a massive earthquake and tsunami.
Tests on Friday showed iodine 131 levels in seawater 30 km (19 miles) from the coastal nuclear complex had spiked 1,250 times higher than normal, but it was not considered a threat to marine life or food safety, the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said.

Radiation 1,600 times higher than normal levels has been detected in an area about 20 kilometers from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, International Atomic Energy Agency officials said Monday.
Data collected by an IAEA team show that radiation levels of 161 microsievert per hour have been detected in the town of Namie, Fukushima Prefecture, the officials said.
The government has set an exclusion zone covering areas within a 20-km radius of the plant and has urged people within 20 to 30 km to stay indoors...

The Anglo-American multi-trillion dollar global military machine has been defended ad nauseum as essential to protecting free humanity and its progress into a promising future. In reality, it is a criminal facilitator obsessed with pilfering the world’s resources, consolidating power in the hands of feckless feeble minded, short-sighted degenerate financiers, and fostering an unprecedented level of interdependence and vulnerability in every nation brought within their sphere of influence.
One must wonder what sort of world we might be living in today if the trillions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of lives squandered in the last 10 years of war profiteering in the Middle East, were instead used to push real education, technological research and development, and real tangible technological progress. Not only would we have sources of power that could replace dangerous and antiquated power plants like the 40 year old Fukushima reactors, but we as Americans might have a naval fleet actually capable of protecting the “free world” from real threats like the one unfolding off the east coast of Japan’s Fukushima prefecture.
Instead, the US fleet is stretched globally involved in a myriad of meddling geopolitical gambits, many of which were intentionally engineered and initiated by corporate-serving policy wonks in Washington and London. Even as Japan drowns, burns, melts-down, evacuates, and workers engage in suicide missions to mitigate the unprecedented disaster unfolding, Washington and London leadership obsessively pursue their pet projects worldwide...
...In this case, Japan, mired in a catastrophe that very well endangers the US itself is in dire need of any and all assistance, an effort the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton should direct her entire, undivided attention to. U.S. Government Cannot Be Trusted On Radiation Plume
I have to agree with this article. The government, corporate and globalist interests wouldn't want to jeopordize their profit making with scaring the public about the dangers of the radioactive cloud. Even as workers race to prevent the radioactive cores of the damaged nuclear reactors in Japan from melting down, concerns are growing that nearby pools holding spent fuel rods could pose an even greater danger.
The pools, which sit on the top level of the reactor buildings and keep spent fuel submerged in water, have lost their cooling systems and the Japanese have been unable to take emergency steps because of the multiplying crises.
Ok, let's have a look at some pictures of the reactors again.
Here are Reactors 3 and 4. You can clearly see that the upper half of Reactor 3 is completely destroyed. This is the reactor where it seems obvious that the control rods probably went up in the giant explosion. Reactor 4 also shows considerable to damage to the area around where the control rods should be.

Here is Reactor 1. As someone pointed out in a comment, you could make the case that in this reactor the spent fuel pool might still be intact, however damage is certainly possible.

Have A Look At Reactor 4...
Have a look at that. That used to be a nuclear reactor. It exploded just like Reactor 1 and 3 did. According to NHK the source of the hydrogen explosion was the spent fuel rods contained in the building.
