And introducing, from the people who brought you the wars of Iraq, and Afghanistan, what all the experts have been waiting for, the one and only...Liberated Libya!
From The Daily Mail.
Thousands of people including women and children are being held illegally and tortured by rebels who helped oust Colonel Gaddafi, according to a UN report.
Around 7,000, many of them foreigners, are behind bars in private prisons and makeshift detention centres, beyond the control of the new Libyan government and without access to any legal redress.
The report by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will be embarrassing for Britain and other governments which supported the overthrow of the Gaddafi regime despite concerns about who would take power in their place.
Many of the detainees are sub-Saharan Africans whom their captors accuse of being Gaddafi mercenaries, based in some cases purely on the fact that they have darker skin. The women and children are being held with them, under the control of male-only guards.
‘Some detainees have reportedly been subjected to torture or ill treatment,’ the UN said.

Power comes from barrel of a gun in post-Gaddafi Libya
From The Independent.
Abdul Mojan's moment of realisation came when the people he thought were the good guys threw him into the boot of their car, slammed it shut and drove off with him a prisoner inside.
When they finally stopped and hauled him out, he asked: "What are you doing? I'm a revolutionary just like you. I've never supported Gaddafi."
But the former rebels did not care. They had taken a liking to the new office block in western Tripoli that Mr Mojan managed and they wanted the keys and ownership documents.
"We have sacrificed for this revolution and you haven't, and now we will take what we want," he was told by a cocky 18-year-old. "You can have the building back when the revolution is over."
A week later Mr Mojan was still incredulous as he recounted his tale, admitting that he felt lucky to escape without a beating, although there was nothing he could do about the 5,000 dinar (€2,960) they stole from his car.
Many of Tripoli's residents have had a similar moment of grim awakening in recent weeks. Their liberators, still swaggering around the city in Che Guevara-style berets and armed to the teeth, have not gone back to their home towns as they promised. Nor have they handed in the guns they used to topple Gaddafi.
"When they said 'Libya free', they meant the cars, the refrigerators and the flat-screen television sets," runs one joke in Tripoli's cafes. There are also stories of gunmen taking expensive cars at checkpoints, giving receipts and saying they will be returned after the revolution.
More alarming than the looting have been the armed clashes between militias.
There have been three big fights in the capital alone in the past week; shoot-outs at a hospital, Martyr's Square and the military airport, which have left several dead and dozens wounded.
Then there are the detentions. With the fighting over, the revolutionaries have kept busy, rounding up hundreds of suspected Gaddafi supporters in a widescale witch-hunt, often on the basis of little more than rumour and accusation.

More Evidence of Mass Murder by Rebels Found in Sirte.
From Al Jazeera
The bodies of 267 people, many of them believed to have been summarily executed, have been found in Sirte, the hometown of slain Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi, a Red Cross source told the online Libyan newspaper Qurynaew on Wednesday.
Officials from the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi, now in Sirte, had documented the bodies before they were buried in mass graves, the source told the Libyan paper.

The bodies of 267 people have been found buried in mass graves in Sirte, the hometown and last stronghold of former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi, Fox News said.
Most of the dead were supporters of Gaddafi and had been executed, Fox News reported late on Wednesday citing a Red Cross source who spoke with an online Libyan newspaper.

Is Libyan War A Planned Step Towards Wider Regional War in Middle East?
That's the thought that occurred to me after reading two articles from Ynet News. First you can read how the largely western supported 'Arab Spring' is being seen by a top Israeli general as leading to an "all-out, total war, with the possibility of weapons of mass destruction being used." So the west encourages a process which then gives the Israelis an excuse to nuke their arab neighbors? Another article from the same website explains how weapons are flowing from territory the American and Nato supported Libyan rebels hold, straight into Gaza. Thus Nato can be seen also here as aiding the path towards war. Could it be that a wider regional war is exactly what the powers in the West want?

Al Qaeda Commander of NATO’s Bloody Reign of Terror in Tripoli is the Monster Abdel Hakim Belhadj, Friend of Osama Bin Laden, former US POW...
From Cryptogon
This gaggle of fanatics, psychotics, and criminals is billed by the CIA media as an effective ruling elite for the future democratic governance of Libya. In reality, the Benghazi rebel council, heavily larded with al Qaeda terrorists, could only preside over the descent of the country into a chaos of tribalism, warlords, and criminal syndicates which would spell the end of civilization itself in the area. Precisely this appears to be the goal of US policy, and not just in Libya.

Libya's spectacular revolution has been disgraced by racism
And all the morons at The New York Times sigh a moronic sigh in between their warmongering breaths. "Racist overtones...oh well, the empire must continue!"
From The Guardian
The New York Times refers to "racist overtones", but sometimes the racism is explicit. A rebel slogan painted in Misrata during the fighting salutes "the brigade for purging slaves, black skin". A consequence of this racism has been mass arrests of black men, and gruesome killings – just some of the variousatrocities that human rights organisations blame rebels for. The racialisation of this conflict does not end with hatred of "Africans". Graffiti by rebels frequently depicted Gaddafi as a demonic Jew.

Videos Of Horrible Barbarity By Nato Supported Libyan Rebels (Extremely Disturbing and Graphic Videos)
From Federal Jack
I would hope that this was some kind of hoax, but I fear it isn't.
The videos in the following link are so disturbing that I won't repost them and ask you to simply follow the link below if you believe you can watch the following scenes of brutality allegedly by the U.S./Nato backed barbarians. If these images are truly of Libyan rebels, and the videos seem very real, then this is so far from a revolution of "farmers, teachers and lawyers" that it will leave you speechless. These atrocities seem to exceed anything I have seen before, and this is probably the most disturbing post yet on this blog. You can imagine what kind of country these rebels will set up. It will be a monster, as these rebels are truly monsters. Yet they are what our leaders in Europe and America have chosen to organize and support for their own designs and purposes.
I recommend scrolling down past the first gruesome images of victims of Nato bombing to the videos below which include the following:
Libyan rebels behead Libyan Soldier
Libyan Rebels sodomize captured civilian with a gun
Libyan rebels Kill captured Libyan Soldiers and steal their weapons
Rebels force live Libyan Soldiers to eat a dead Libyan soldier
Libyan Rebels Torture Small Child by Sticking a Pole Through His Body
Go to THIS LINK and you will surely be disturbed by what you see.

Libyan's head being choped off by rebels.
This is one of the most disgusting videos I ever posted. Extremely graphic. I am sorry to say that these are John Mccain's 'heroes' carrying out this brutal execution. These are the 'freedom fighters' supported by Nato, Israel and the US. Have a look at your 'heroes.'

CHAINSAW MASSACRE: U.S. and Nato backed Libyan Rebels Behead Surrendered Gaddafi Troops With Chainsaw. Your tax dollars at work.
Here is a good look up close and personal at our "brothers in arms," the freedom fighters that Mccain, Obama, Kissinger and Sarkozy are supporting. Suddenly Al-Qaeda are our pals now? If this were on CNN on Easter sunday I think many would vomit up their nice dinner, suddenly being forced to see the truth instead of the lie. If we were the good guys, we would be hoping that Gaddafi puts an end to these brutal fanatics. Instead McCain even goes so far as to call them 'heroes.'
What was that someone was saying about an uprising of lawyers, professors and teachers? Lies.
More information about the insanity in Libya can be found here.
Here is another video of Gaddafi troops killed by a French airstrike.

Former CIA officer blows lid off libya fraud live on CNN
From The American Dream
Every once in a while, establishment control of the mainstream media cracks for a moment. In an effort to achieve higher ratings, mainstream news programs will invite guests on that promise to be “interesting”, but then they will say something that is not part of the script and the entire system will go into a state of chaos for a moment. One example of this happened recently when two CNN “infobabes” interviewed former CIA officer Michael Scheuer about the situation on the ground in Libya. They asked Scheuer some questions regarding the role of the CIA in Libya, but the interview rapidly moved in some directions that the “infobabes” were not anticipating. Instead of sticking to the “Republican” or the “Democrat” script, Scheuer ripped both parties and he detailed many of the reasons why we should have never gone into Libya at all.
The “infobabes” grew increasingly uncomfortable as Scheuer described how large numbers of the resistance fighters in Libya have fought against U.S. troops in the Balkans, in Afghanistan and in Iraq. They did not seem pleased at all when Scheuer declared that the civil war in Libya is “none of our business” and that to the rest of the world this conflict looks like “Americans killing Muslims for oil” all over again.
The funniest part of the interview was when Scheuer accused one of the “infobabes” of “carrying the water for Mr. Obama”. After that statement, the female anchor that Scheuer was addressing was visibly flustered and quickly went to a commercial.
Video of this CNN interview with Michael Scheuer is posted below. This is a video that should be shared with everyone you know….

Libyan Rebel Leader Spent Much of Past 20 Years in Suburban Virginia
Oh what have we here? Just a natural home grown libyan uprising...led by...ahem....residents of Virginia, isn't that where the CIA is headquartered?
From Cryptogon.
Since coming to the United States in the early 1990s, Hifter lived in suburban Virginia outside Washington, D.C. Badr said he was unsure exactly what Hifter did to support himself…
From The Week
Are Libyan rebels being led by a CIA plant?
Until recently, Khalifa Hifter — who's leading the anti-Gadhafi forces — lived five miles from CIA headquarters in Virginia. Coincidence?

Benghazi and Darnah, Hotbeds of Anti-American Al-Qaeda?
These excerpts are taken from an article on Tarpley.Net entitled The CIA’s Libya Rebels: The Same Terrorists who Killed US, NATO Troops in Iraq
From Tarpley.Net
...This means that almost one fifth of the foreign fighters entering Iraq across the Syrian border came from Libya, a country of just over 6 million people. A higher proportion of Libyans were interested in fighting in Iraq than any other country contributing mujahedin. Felter and Fishman point out: “Almost 19 percent of the fighters in the Sinjar Records came from Libya alone. Furthermore, Libya contributed far more fighters per capita than any other nationality in the Sinjar Records, including Saudi Arabia.” (See the chart from the West Point report, page 9)3
But since the Al Qaeda personnel files contain the residence or hometown of the foreign fighters in question, we can determine that the desire to travel to Iraq to kill Americans was not evenly distributed across Libya, but was highly concentrated precisely in those areas around Benghazi which are today the epicenters of the revolt against Colonel Gaddafi which the US, Britain, France, and others are so eagerly supporting.
As Daya Gamage of the Asia Tribune comments in a recent article on the West Point study, “…alarmingly for Western policymakers, most of the fighters came from eastern Libya, the center of the current uprising against Muammar el-Qaddafi. The eastern Libyan city of Darnah sent more fighters to Iraq than any other single city or town, according to the West Point report. It noted that 52 militants came to Iraq from Darnah, a city of just 80,000 people (the second-largest source of fighters was Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which has a population of more than 4 million). Benghazi, the capital of Libya’s provisional government declared by the anti-Qaddafi rebels, sent in 21 fighters, again a disproportionate number of the whole.”4 Obscure Darnah edged out metropolitan Riyadh by 52 fighters to 51. Qaddafi’s stronghold of Tripoli, by contrast, barely shows up in the statistics at all. (See chart from West Point report, page 12)
What explains this extraordinary concentration of anti-American fighters in Benghazi and Darnah? The answer seems related to extremist schools of theology and politics which flourished in these areas. As the West Point report notes: “Both Darnah and Benghazi have long been associated with Islamic militancy in Libya.” These areas are in theological and tribal conflict with the central government of Colonel Gaddafi, in addition to being politically opposed to him. Whether such a theological conflict is worth the deaths of still more American and European soldiers is a question which needs urgently to be answered.
So Benghazi and Darnah, the origins of the Libyan rebellion are in fact hot beds of anti-american terrorists! These are the places which Obama spoke such nobel words about, as needing our aid, as he proclaimed his new war was for humanitarian concerns.
What might be the reasons for this seemingly absurd reality? Tarpley explains further some possible motives.
The first is to use the terrorists in Libya to destablize Qaddafi instead of seeing them all go to Iraq to fight the Americans:
Felter and Fishman hint that it might be possible to use the former LIFG components of Al Qaeda against the government of Colonel Qaddafi in Libya, in essence creating a de facto alliance between the United States and a segment of the terrorist organization. The West Point report notes: “The Libyan Islamic Fighting Group’s unification with al-Qa’ida and its apparent decision to prioritize providing logistical support to the Islamic State of Iraq is likely controversial within the organization. It is likely that some LIFG factions still want to prioritize the fight against the Libyan regime, rather than the fight in Iraq. It may be possible to exacerbate schisms within LIFG, and between LIFG’s leaders and al-Qa’ida’s traditional Egyptian and Saudi power-base.”13 This suggests the US policy we see today, that of allying with the obscurantist and reactionary al Qaeda fanatics in Libya against the Nasserist modernizer Qaddafi.
One motive may be the Obama/Brezinski angle on using Al-Qaeda to achieve policy goals:
The Bush approach was to use the alleged presence of Al Qaeda as a reason for direct military attack. The Obama method is to use Al Qaeda to overthrow independent governments, and then either Balkanize and partition the countries in question, or else use them as kamikaze puppets against larger enemies like Russia, China, or Iran. This approach implies a more or less open fraternization with terrorist groups, which was signaled in a general way in Obamas famous Cairo speech of 2009. The links of the Obama campaign to the terrorist organizations deployed by the CIA against Russia were already a matter of public record three years ago.26
Finally at the end of his article, Tarpley presents a possible game plan for the actions of today.
As Shayler understood the MI-6 scenario, it included the liquidation of Gaddafi, followed by the descent of Libya into chaos and tribal warfare, with a possible option for a direct seizure of power by al Qaeda itself. This situation would then provide a pretext for Britain, probably but not necessarily acting together with the United States or other countries, to invade Libya and seize control of the oil fields, probably establishing a permanent protectorate over the oil regions, the pipelines, and the coast.31 This remains the goal today.
It's all a puppet show, what we are allowed to see, and for many, that's all they will ever imagine exists.

CIA Operative Appointed to Run al-Qaeda Connected Libyan Rebels
From Infowars.
Kurt Nimmo
Infowars.com
March 29, 2011
On Saturday, McClatchy reported that Khalifa Hifter, a former Gaddafi military officer, was appointed to lead the rebel army supported by the United Nations, the United States and the Globalist Coalition.
Hifter spent two decades living in suburban Virginia “where he established a life but maintained ties to anti-Gaddafi groups,” writes Chris Adams for the newspaper. A friend told the journalist he “was unsure exactly what Hifter did to support himself, and that Hifter primarily focused on helping his large family.”
As it turns out, Mr. Hifter is a CIA operative, which likely explains his lengthy stay in Virginia. In 1996, the Washington Post reported that a Col. Haftar (a variation on Hifter) had arrived in the United States and he was “reported to be the leader of a contra-style group based in the U.S. called the Libyan National Army,” the Wisdom Fund noted at the time. “This group is supported by the U.S., and has been given training facilities in the U.S. It’s a good presumption that Col. Haftar’s group operates in Libya with the blessings of our government.”

US To Purchase Oil From Libyan Rebels, Thereby Funding "Flickers" Of Al Qaeda
Oh yes, it's all about helping civilians.
From Zerohedge.
Following recent news that the supremely organized Libyan rebels have established their own central bank and oil company (does anyone recall when rebels merely rebelled instead of immediately setting up an oil export infrastructure and a fiat counterfeiting authority... those were the days), we now learn that this impressively "impromptu" development may have actually been intended all along. From Reuters: "The United States on Monday gave a green light to sales of Libyan crude oil from rebel-held territory, giving a potential boost to forces battling Muammar Gaddafi. A U.S. Treasury Department official said Libyan rebels would not be subject to U.S. sanctions if they avoid entities linked to Gaddafi's regime, which would allow them to sell oil under their control." And confirming just hos hypocritical any international embargo attempts are, here is the Un confirming that when it comes to determining international priorities, the only word that matters is the one that did not figure once in Obama's Libya speech yesterday: "There is no U.N. embargo on Libyan oil," a U.N. Security Council diplomat told Reuters on condition of anonymity. "The rebels can sell oil. But they can't do it through the Libyan National Oil Corporation."" And the kicker: according to the US NATO leader among those profiting from this latest move of US desperation is none other than Al Qaeda...
