Was Polanski's Ghost Writer Describing Reality? Is The CIA Fully In Control Of The American Executive Branch?

Was Polanki's arrest in Switzerland for a decades old charge while working on the film just a 'coincidence'? In describing how a photo links a British Prime Minister to the CIA, could the film have come too close to reality for some in shadowy positions of power?

The President with No Past: Obama's Electability in 2012

From OpedNews

By Dr Stuart Jeanne Bramhall

...For me, Madsen's most interesting and credible findings concern Obama's family, rather than the President himself. I think they establish quite clearly that Obama's parents, maternal grandparents and stepfather -- like the Bush family -- all had intelligence links. And that Obama has fabricated many details about his past to conceal this...

The scenario Obama lays out in Dreams from My Father about his parents' background differs markedly from limited information available from school and other public school records. He indicates his parents first met in a Russian class at the University of Hawaii in [1960] ( In Dreams from My Father , Obama says 1959, when her yearbook indicates she was still in Seattle attending Mercer Island High school). However Wayne Madsen points out that Stanley Armour Dunham, Ann's father, already knew Obama senior. He has a 1959 photo of Dunham officially welcoming Obama senior with a traditional lei ceremony. This suggests that Stanley Armour probably relocated to Hawaii in 1959, with his family following a year later. Moreover the photo raises the interesting question of why an alleged furniture salesman, with no prior connections to the Honolulu business community or the University of Hawaii is welcoming the first Kenya student to enroll there...

Madsen believes that rather than being a simple goat herder, as Obama claims, his father was one of 280 students from British eastern and southern African colonies sponsored to study in the US under the CIA-inspired Airlift Africa project. The goal of the project was to counter the influence of Soviet and Chinese backed rebels and leaders as these colonies gained independence.
It's also Madsen's belief that furniture sales was merely a cover, that Stanley Armour Dunham had a CIA role in overseeing Airlift Africa and other foreign students at the University of Hawaii. Even more mysterious is Madsen's photo of the family in Beirut, Lebanon in the early fifties. Madsen also notes the existence of an FBI file on Armour Dunham (J Edgar Hoover commonly kept files on covert CIA agents) which was allegedly destroyed in 1997.

Who Was the Real Ann Dunham?

Obama also likes to portray his mother as a struggling single parent and a free spirit and "sixties child." However Madsen has compiled considerable evidence suggesting she was actually a career employee (and possibly a NOC -- an agent under non-official cover like Valerie Plame) for a series of known CIA fronts (the USAID-funded Lembaga Pendidikan Pembinaan Manajemen, Development Alternatives Inc., the Ministry of Industry Provincial Development Program, the Ford Foundation Southeast Asia regional office, and the Asian Development Bank). Among her other duties in Indonesia in the 1970s, was "anthropological" field work. Madsen believes this was actually intelligence gathering to consolidate the CIA-sponsored coup (1965-67) that overthrew Indonesian president Sukarno. John Pilger: On Obama. Obama worked for company linked to CIA

And from Sodahead:

A key witness in a federal probe into passport information stolen from the State Department was fatally shot in front of a District church, the Metropolitan Police Department said yesterday.

Lt. Quarles Harris Jr., 24, who had been cooperating with a federal investigators, was found late Thursday night slumped dead inside a car, in front of the Judah House Praise Baptist Church in Northeast, said Cmdr. Michael Anzallo, head of the department’s Criminal Investigations Division.

Cmdr. Anzallo said a police officer was patrolling the neighborhood when gunshots were heard, then Lt. Harris was found dead inside the vehicle, which investigators would describe only as a blue car. …

The Washington Times reported April 5 that contractors for the State Department had improperly accessed passport information for presidential candidates Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama and John McCain, which resulted in a series of firings that reached into the agency’s top ranks...

Mark David Chapman and MK ULTRA?

File this under speculation...

I remember Wayne Madsen writing about MK ULTRA connections to the University of Hawaii:

Although CIA geo-political covert operations at the University of Hawaii are well-documented, the agency’s darker side of research and MK-UKTRA type operations has not generally been associated with the University of Hawaii...

...A series of formerly Confidential CIA memoranda, dated May 15, 1972, points to the involvement of both the Defense Department’s Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA), the CIA, and the University of Hawaii in the CIA’s behavioral science program...

And that is what occurred to me when I read the recent article on Mark David Chapman in The New York Times where it states:

[Chapman] lived in Hawaii at the time, where he drank and became depressed, a condition worsened from working nights as a security guard in Honolulu. He bought a gun and flew with it, unloaded, to New York, eventually getting bullets from a police officer friend in Atlanta who thought they were for Mr. Chapman’s protection.

I find the bit about getting the bullets from the police officer in Atlanta eerily similar to the guns for more recent lone gunmen coming from the same Memphis police vault.

Of interest is also perhaps this section:

“Well, I saw a movie,” he said. “I can’t remember the title of it, it was an important movie” — he has identified the movie as “Ordinary People” in the past — “and I came out of the movie theater and called my wife and for the first time, I told her,” he said. “I told her what I was going to do, and I was crying. And I said I thought about life and thought about my grandmother, and I told her, I said: ‘Your love has saved me. I’m coming home.’ And she said, ‘Just come home. Please, come home.’ ”

“So at that point, I had abandoned all of the plans and was going to throw the gun in the river and that type of thing and come back and everything was going to be O.K. Of course, that didn’t happen.”

Was that Chapman's Queen Of Diamonds? It makes you laugh doesn't it? Ordinary People...Perhaps more likely just an emotional film which had a strong effect on Chapman.

There is also mention in the article of a mysterious judge who seeks to help Chapman when he is out of prison.

That isn't much, but maybe some of you out there know more and are welcome to comment with additional information.
