Think-tank designs for Iran leave only Israeli attack & coaxed provocation for total war on table...
...The US is at least peddling the illusion it is clearing out its holdings in Iraq, leaving a symbolic force for a reason - a reason that has to do with a final gambit to be played against Iran, the last domino to fall in the US-contrived "Arab Spring." These are two possible scenarios:
1. Leave a small symbolic force for the Iranians to attack in Iraq after a "unilateral" Israeli airstrike. Whatever Iran decides to do, it may not be able to do sustainably, but will do viciously in the opening phases. By leaving a symbolic force in Iraq, the US can garner the necessary sympathy and anger politically at home to launch a wider operation against Iran in "retaliation."
2. Feign as if the US is disengaging from the Middle East so when a false flag terror attack or other provocation is perpetrated against the US, it will look like an egregious act of war by Iran. While a shrinking US presence in the Middle East would logically engender even more patience in Tehran, the script writers of the latest DEA-Saudi bomb plot took special care to ensure the "Iran has become bolder" talking-point made it repetitively on air and into the minds of unsuspecting Americans.
This is more than mere idle speculation. In the Brookings Institution report, "Which Path to Persia?" nearly all but the most extreme measures proposed in the report have been executed. The only options left on the table unused include a unilateral Israeli airstrike designed to provoke a significant retaliation thus bringing the US into war with Iran and a variety of options to provoke a full-scale invasion.

Did U.S. 'Frame' Strauss-Kahn Over IMF Economic Forecasts? (Huanqiu, People's Republic of China)

With this article, Beijing has raised the bar on Dominique Strauss-Kahn conspiracy theories. According to this analysis from China's state-controlled Huanqiu, it is reasonable to infer that statistics released while DSK ran the IMF, showing U.S. dollar weakness and forecasting how China's economy would surpass America's by 2016, drove Washington to 'throw' DSK into a U.S. prison...
"At the time [May, 2010], the IMF's sudden forecast was equivalent to sounding the global alarm on the U.S. dollar, or to put it another way, using data to reveal the trend of influence between the U.S. and China. In order to maintain the status of the U.S. dollar, Washington moved to take revenge on Strauss-Kahn. It is fairly safe to infer that by throwing DSK - a man who dared speak the truth - into the prisons of their country, there has been an attempt to keep his mouth shut. Meanwhile, this also dealt a heavy blow to French Socialist Party prospects in the 2012 presidential election, making it far easier for the U.S. to cultivate a "loyal" French government. With this smear in place and DSK's image fatally ruined, IMF forecasts made under his management will also be looked on with suspicion."

The Scramble Towards World War III
Is not a good explanation for all the wars in the Middle East and Central Asia a preparation for WW III to take place over Iran? Nato and its other allies against China and Russia? Paul Craig Roberts mentioned on the Alex Jones show that the Libya conflict really has to do with China's oil investments there, and that Syria has to do with Russia's port in that country. Pakistan is very close to China. Certainly our new bases in Afghanistan and Iraq nicely ring Iran.

...China, concerned with India, the other Asian giant that is rising, is willing to ally with Pakistan. Moreover, China doesn’t want Americans on its border, which is where they would be should Pakistan become another American battleground.
Therefore, China showed its displeasure with the US threat to Pakistan, and advised Washington to respect Pakistan’s sovereignty, adding that any attack on Pakistan would be considered an attack on China
I do not think China’s ultimatum was reported in the US press, but it was widely reported in India’s press. India is concerned that China has stepped up to Pakistan’s defense.
The Chinese ultimatum is important, because it is a WWI or WWII level of ultimatum. With this level of commitment of China to Pakistan, Washington will now seek a way to maneuver itself out of the confrontation and to substitute India.
The US has been fawning all over India, cultivating India in the most shameful ways, including the sacrifice of Americans’ jobs. Recently, there have been massive US weapons sales to India, US-India military cooperation agreements, and joint military exercises.
Washington figures that the Indians, who were gullible for centuries about the British, will be gullible about the “shining city on the hill” that is “bringing freedom and democracy to the world” by smashing, killing, and destroying. Like the British and France’s Sarkozy, Indian political leaders will find themselves doing Washington’s will. By the time India and China realize that they have been maneuvered into mutual destruction by the Americans, it will be too late for either to back down.
With China and India eliminated, that only leaves Russia, which is already ringed by US missile bases and isolated from Europe by NATO, which now includes former constituent parts of the Soviet Empire. A large percentage of gullible Russian youth admires the US for its “freedom” (little do they know) and hates the “authoritarian” Russian state, which they regard as a continuation of the old Soviet state. These “internationalized Russians” will side with Washington, more of less forcing Moscow into surrender.
As the rest of the world, with the exception of parts of South America, is already part of the American Empire, Russia’s surrender will let the US focus its military might on South America. Chavez will be overthrown, and if others do not fall into line, more examples will be made.
The only way the American Empire can be stopped is for China and Russia to realize their danger and to form an unbreakable alliance that reassures India, breaks off Germany from NATO and defends Iran...

The United States government cannot get enough of war. With Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi’s regime falling to a rebelling population, CNN reports that a Pentagon spokesman said that the U.S. is looking at all options from the military side.
Allegedly, the Pentagon, which is responsible for one million dead Iraqis and an unknown number of dead Afghans and Pakistanis, is concerned about the deaths of 1,000 Libyan protesters.
While the Pentagon tries to figure out how to get involved in the Libyan revolt, the commander of U.S. forces in the Pacific is developing new battle plans to take on China in her home territory. Four-star Admiral Robert Willard thinks the U.S. should be able to whip China in its own coastal waters.
The admiral thinks one way to do this is to add U.S. Marines to his force structure so that the U.S. can eject Chinese forces from disputed islands in the East and South China seas.
It is not the U.S. who is disputing the islands, but if there is a chance for war anywhere, the admiral wants to make sure we are not left out...

WikiLeaks Releases More Cables; Vital US Infrastructure; Australian Threat of 'Force' Against China; H. Clinton Calls Putin a Puppeteer
Reading these documents today, I can only feel that this whole Wikileaks cable dump is truly explosive, of historical dimensions and seems to be devastating for US foreign policy. What it all means, and how it has been achieved will take more time to fully understand.
I am finding all kinds of interesting passages not even mentioned in the AFP article below such as the Saudi King Abdullah's request that "America restore it's credibility in the world" with Obama reassuring the King that "America is a great country and we know what we have to do."
Of course this all seems ludicrous right now

WASHINGTON — WikiLeaks has divulged a secret list compiled by Washington of key infrastructure sites around the world that could pose a critical danger to US security if they come under terrorist attack.
The newly released diplomatic cable is one of the most explosive yet out of many leaked by the whistle-blowing website that have heaped embarrassment on Washington and caused anger around the world.
Among other revelations, the latest WikiLeaks document dump showed Australia's then leader Kevin Rudd warning US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that force might be needed against China "if everything goes wrong".
Also among the new US State Department destroying revelations:
- One cable said Saudi Arabia was the key source of funding for radical Islamist groups including Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hamas.
-- Gulf states Qatar and Kuwait are lax in pursuing locals who donated to the groups, according to the cable dated December 2009.
-- Qatar is using the Arabic TV news channel Al-Jazeera as a bargaining chip in negotiations with other countries, despite the broadcaster's insistence that it is editorially independent.
-- Clinton views Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin as a "behind-the-scenes puppeteer" who chafes at his role working alongside President Dmitry Medvedev.

China flexed its military muscle Monday evening in the skies west of Los Angeles when a Chinese Navy Jin class ballistic missile nuclear submarine, deployed secretly from its underground home base on the south coast of Hainan island, launched an intercontinental ballistic missile from international waters off the southern California coast. WMR’s intelligence sources in Asia, including Japan, say the belief by the military commands in Asia and the intelligence services is that the Chinese decided to demonstrate to the United States its capabilities on the eve of the G-20 Summit in Seoul and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Tokyo, where President Obama is scheduled to attend during his ten-day trip to Asia.

New reports of how the military and corporations feel their absolute power is under attack by cyber attacks originating in China and Germany, or so they say in this video at least. Oh no....Oh no..."Should individuals do anything different?" asks the anchor, as if some hackers in Germany or China are more of a threat to the individual then his own government, large corporations and intelligence agencies might be.

Thought Provoking Article Might Help Explain Yemen and 'Sharp Dressed Indian'
If you believe what M K Bhadrakumar has to say then what just happened with the Christmas Bomber and the recent U.S. military involvement with Yemen isn't just about fighting some nebulous Al-Qaida presence but has alot more to do with containment of China. His article in Asia Times is fascinating for those of us just getting the crafted propaganda of mainstream news and perhaps could even put in a new context reports of all these Indians around the Christmas Bomber.
