Interrogator in the Assange case friend with woman accusing Wikileaks founder

From Expressen.

The police interrogator in the Julian Assange-investigation is a friend of one of the two women who is accusing the Wikileaks founder och sexual assault, Expressen can now reveal.
Personal remarks on the internet reveal that the interrogator and the woman who reported Julian Assange had contact already in April 2009. This was sixteen months before Assange was reported to the police for, amongst others, rape allegations...

Julian Assange And Raymond A. Davis.

From Sabbah Report.

Julian Assange has not broken any laws. He has assisted democratic debate by transmitting material showing how the US terrorizes other countries and routinely murders people in course of its illegal wars. He acts to reveal corruption and government crime. President Obama asserts vaguely but with a demagogue's conviction that Mr Assange "puts lives at risk" but has never put any evidence forward. Rather, Mr Assange's work saves lives. He says he wants to reveal the truth and that is what he does. As the US Central Intelligence Agency's motto goes, "…the truth shall make you free". The fact is that the United States and the CIA hate truth...

United States citizen Raymond A. Davis, who shot two Pakistanis in the back on a crowded street in Lahore, has diplomatic immunity, according to President Obama himself. Obama is trying both threats and bribes to get him released and insists on his immunity. Davis's car contained two handguns, a large quantity of ammunition for his guns and other weapons as well as other military equipment. An American embassy vehicle associated with this incident crushed another man to death and sped away. Its two occupants have fled the country and the US embassy refuses to cooperate with Pakistani police enquiries...

Holder's Cowardly Assertions

Mr. Holder, the only difference between Wikileaks and your "various news organizations" is that the latter don't make a point of being against your senseless wars and have little motivation to uncover your corruption. On both counts Wikileaks does. I suppose that makes them some kind of "terrorists" in your eyes.

Keep it up boys, this will play well with the pro-war red neck republican crowd that didn't waste one vote on your sorry asses in the election. Good strategy. I suppose a couple of cowardly yuppies will also be pleased.

From Businessweek

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said this week there is "an active, ongoing, criminal investigation" into WikiLeaks' release of the material. He said it jeopardized national security, diplomatic efforts and U.S. relationships around the world. He declined to equate WikiLeaks to traditional news organizations that enjoy certain free-speech protections.

"I think one can compare the way in which the various news organizations that have been involved in this have acted, as opposed to the way in which WikiLeaks has," Holder said. He did not elaborate on the distinction he sees between WikiLeaks and the publications.

WikiLeaks: Julian Assange claims to have Rupert Murdoch 'insurance files'

From The Guardian

Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, claimed today he was in possession of "insurance" files on Rupert Murdoch and his global media company, News Corporation.

Assange also claimed that WikiLeaks holds more than 500 confidential US diplomatic cables on one broadcasting organisation.

Speaking to journalist John Pilger for an interview to be published tomorrow in the latest edition of the New Statesman, Assange said: "There are 504 US embassy cables on one broadcasting organisation and there are cables on Murdoch and News Corp."

Assange refers to these specific cables as "insurance files" that will be released "if something happens to me or to WikiLeaks"...

DOJ subpoenas Twitter records of several WikiLeaks volunteers

Darth Obama and his minions at the Department Of Unjustice continue down their twisted path...

From Salon.

...The DOJ's investigation of a member of Iceland's Parliament -- as part of an effort to intimidate anyone supporting WikiLeaks and to criminalize journalism that exposes what the U.S. Government does -- is one of the most extreme acts yet in the Obama administration's always-escalating war on whistleblowers, and shows how just excessive and paranoid the administration is when it comes to transparency: all this from a President who ran on a vow to have the "most transparent administration in history" and to "Protect Whistleblowers."

The War Against The Whistleblowers

Will it be better Darrell when the world laughs at what a banana republic we've become?

Why not just outlaw reporting altogether? Journalism after all, might damage national security and with all those terror bagels out there, god knows what might happen...

From Mail & Guardian.

Republicans set sights on WikiLeaks and Assange

The Republicans plan to hold a congressional inquiry into WikiLeaks and its founder, Julian Assange, following the organisation's release of thousands of classified United States diplomatic cables.

The party, which will wrest control of house committees from the Democrats, has included WikiLeaks in a list of priorities for investigation.

The move is partly political, aimed at the attorney general, Eric Holder, whom the Republicans claim has been too slow and too weak in reacting.

He said last month that the justice department was looking at what action can be taken against Assange but that lawyers are struggling to find legislation under which the Australian national can be prosecuted.

Darrell Issa, who will take over as chair of the House of Representatives oversight committee and is calling for Holder's resignation, said of Assange in a television interview on Sunday: "If the president says, 'I can't deal with this guy as a terrorist' then he has to be able to deal with him as a criminal, otherwise the world is laughing at this paper tiger we've become."...

Fat Archdemon Rove Behind Swedish Justice Anti-Wikileaks Agenda?

From CTWATCHDOG.COM

Karl Rove’s help for Sweden as it and the Obama administration investigate WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange could be the latest example of the adage, “Politics makes strange bedfellows.”

As sex and spy probes move forward, word is getting out about how Rove, the former Bush White House strategist, has advised Swedish Prime Minister Fredric Reinfeldt for the past two years.

“This all has Karl’s signature,” a reliable political source told me last month in encouraging our Justice Integrity Project to investigate Rove’s Swedish connections as an important factor in the WikiLeaks probes. “He [Rove] must be very happy. He’s right back in the middle of it. He’s making himself valuable to his new friends, seeing the U.S. government doing just what he’d like ─ and screwing his opponents big-time.”

Bank Of America Hires Carlyle Group Consultant Booz Allen Hamilton For Wikileaks Defense

So Bank of America is now working with Booz Allen Hamilton to defend itself against Wikileaks. I will quote a previous post in this blog to give some background about Booz Allen Hamilton:

Booz Allen Hamilton is owned by the Carlyle Group. Joan Dempsey, top assistant to CIA Director George Tenet, said "I like to call Booz Allen the Shadow IC." IC is short for 'Intelligence Community.' Booz Allen Hamilton has notable members including Dov Zakheim, who is(was?) a vice president there. Zakheim was the Pentagon controller when the Trillions went missing the day before 9/11, is a PNAC signatory, contributed to the PNAC Rebuilding America's Defenses article and is mentioned by some as a mastermind of 9/11 for his work as a CEO of Systems Planing Corporation which works on fly-by-remote systems for aircraft. It is also mentioned on several websites that Booz Allen was a client of Blessed Relief, the charity said to be a front for Osama Bin Laden.

From The New York Times.

By the time the conference call ended, it was nearly midnight at Bank of America’s headquarters in Charlotte, N.C., but the bank’s counterespionage work was only just beginning.

A day earlier, on Nov. 29, the director of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, said in an interview that he intended to “take down” a major American bank and reveal an “ecosystem of corruption” with a cache of data from an executive’s hard drive. With Bank of America’s share price falling on the widely held suspicion that the hard drive was theirs, the executives on the call concluded it was time to take action.

Since then, a team of 15 to 20 top Bank of America officials, led by the chief risk officer, Bruce R. Thompson, has been overseeing a broad internal investigation — scouring thousands of documents in the event that they become public, reviewing every case where a computer has gone missing and hunting for any sign that its systems might have been compromised.

In addition to the internal team drawn from departments like finance, technology, legal and communications, the bank has brought in Booz Allen Hamilton, the consulting firm, to help manage the review...

Many Arab officials have close CIA links: Assange

From The Peninsula

By MOBIN PANDIT & AHMED EL AMIN

DOHA: Top officials in several Arab countries have close links with the CIA, and many officials keep visiting US embassies in their respective countries voluntarily to establish links with this key US intelligence agency, says Julian Assange, founder of the whistle-blowing website, WikiLeaks.

“These officials are spies for the US in their countries,” Assange told Al Jazeera Arabic channel in an interview yesterday.

The interviewer, Ahmed Mansour, said at the start of the interview which was a continuation of last week’s interface, that Assange had even shown him the files that contained the names of some top Arab officials with alleged links with the CIA.

Assange or Mansour, however, didn’t disclose the names of these officials. The WikiLeaks founder said he feared he could be killed but added that there were 2,000 websites that were ready to publish the remaining files that are in possession of WikiLeaks after “he has been done away with”.

“If I am killed or detained for a long time, there are 2,000 websites ready to publish the remaining files. We have protected these websites through very safe passwords,” said Assange.

Currently, his whistle-blowing website is exposing files in a ‘responsible’ manner, he claimed. “But if I am forced we could go to the extreme and expose each and every file that we have access to,” thundered the WikiLeaks founder. “We must protect our sources at whatever cost. This is our sincere concern.”

Some Arab countries even have torture houses where Washington regularly sends ‘suspects’ for ‘interrogation and torture’, he said.

Assange on Supposed Manipulation by Soros and Mossad

Stacy from MaxKeiser.com also adds her own two cents here.

From Economic Policy Journal

During a Julian Assange interview conducted by the Indian paper afaqs, the following exchange took place:

There has been speculation that you have the support of George Soros and Israeli intelligence service Mossad. Where do you think this is coming from?

(It is common) in the US to allege George Soros is behind everything. To be fair, the only vaguely conspiratorial things that George Soros has been behind is some of the 'Colour Revolutions' in Eastern Europe about five or six years ago that I know about.

As for Mossad, in the release of "Cablegate" material, there is no one spared. If you look closely, what has happened is that the New York Times as a media organisation has to be quite careful not to criticise Israel too much. So, if you look at the coverage in English that is coming out you will see little that is critical of Israeli behaviour and a lot critical of Iran, for example. That is not a true reflection of the "Cablegate" material. There is information in there that is critical of most countries - certainly including Israel.

There is a bias towards material that is critical of Iran because the information comes from US embassies and US diplomats reporting back to Washington. So, it does follow Washington's agenda in terms of what US diplomats and political officers are looking to report and what they do report back to Washington.

Banks And Wikileaks

From The New York Times.

...Visa, MasterCard and PayPal announced in the past few weeks that they would not process any transaction intended for WikiLeaks. Earlier this month, Bank of America decided to join the group, arguing that WikiLeaks may be doing things that are “inconsistent with our internal policies for processing payments.”

The Federal Reserve, the banking regulator, allows this. Like other companies, banks can choose whom they do business with. Refusing to open an account for some undesirable entity is seen as reasonable risk management. The government even requires banks to keep an eye out for some shady businesses — like drug dealing and money laundering — and refuse to do business with those who engage in them.

But a bank’s ability to block payments to a legal entity raises a troubling prospect. A handful of big banks could potentially bar any organization they disliked from the payments system, essentially cutting them off from the world economy...

Want To See A Real Psy-Op In Action?

If you want to see how the powers that be can try to smear you, take a look at this disgusting article in the Mail Online.

It quotes from a Gawker article which tries to "make Assange seem creepy" through revealing some old emails of his where, if they are authentic, show him trying to win over some 19 year old who supposedly kissed him at a bar.

The establishment and their media whores want you "joe public" to support the mega-corporations and support the wars and the police state. If you oppose them, this is what they do to you. Get used to it. You might be next.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange: If extradited to U.S., I'll be killed 'Jack Ruby-style' in jail

From NY Daily News.

WikiLeaker Julian Assange is afraid of getting whacked "Jack Ruby-style" in a U.S. jail.

Assange, who posted 250,000 secret cables regarding American foreign and military policy on his Website, is fighting extradition to Sweden over allegations of rape and molestation of two women.

At the same time, there are reports the U.S. might try to haul him in to stand trial for espionage.

Assange, 39, says if he can garner enough support in London, where he is now free on bail, Britain might find it too heavy a political lift to extradite him to America for such a trial.

"It's all a matter of politics," he told British newspaper The Telegraph...

Biden-White House Agrees with GOP: Assange is “High Tech Terrorist”

From Prison Planet and Activist Post.

Vice President Joe Biden confirmed on Meet the Press this Sunday that he and the White House agree with Mitch McConnell’s assessment that Julian Assange is a “high tech terrorist” claiming that the leaks have “done damage” to diplomatic relations.

Biden also said the the Justice Department is pursuing legal action against Assange. He claimed Assange would be committing a crime if he “conspired” to obtain the leaked information.
