From Prison Planet
German police have described radiation-firing full body scanners as “useless”, following a 10-month trial, during which time alarm was unnecessarily raised far too frequently...The report concludes that the machines are too sensitive to movement and operate too slowly to be of any practical use. The federal authorities have no interest in carrying out more tests with the machines at this time.
Despite these findings, the Department of Homeland Security in the US plans to roll out hundreds more of the machines into airports across the country.

Members of Congress Exempt From TSA AIT Full Body Scanners
From Prison Planet.
Eric Calouro

We’ve tried really hard to stay away from the increasingly popular TSA AIT full body scanners topic, and for a good reason. Personally, I don’t mind the use of them on myself, but I can see why many folks feel like it’s a violation of their privacy. To a certain extent it is.
What’s motivating me to publish this post is the fact that you ought to know why this topic isn’t resonating as much as we would like it to with Congressional members. So, why isn’t it a big issue with our Congressmen and Congresswomen? Could it be the fact that they’re, say, exempt from TSA screening? You betcha...

Ron Paul Unleashes On TSA: “Enough Is Enough”
From Prison Planet.
In perhaps his most impassioned and irate speech to date, Congressman Ron Paul unleashed a tirade of vilification at the TSA and their security procedures that have stoked nationwide outrage, stating “enough is enough” as he introduced new legislation that would open the way for TSA employees to be sued for groping Americans or putting them through dangerous naked body scanners, preventing travelers ‘from being treated like cattle’...

Investigate Michael Chertoff for fraud and corruption
From Brasschecktv.com
Chertoff ordered the full-body scanners
when he was Homeland Security head
Now he profits from them
Rep John Duncan, Tennessee stands up
against government corruption
Michael Chertoff supervised the "relief efforts" in New Orleans after the levee failures.
He managed the investigation of 9/11.
Now he's helping railroad the full-body X-ray machines he ordered BEFORE the so-called "underwear bomber" incident into US airports - and getting paid for it.
He needs to see the inside of a courtroom and, if there is justice, a jail cell too.
Who is responsible for this travesty?
1. Michael Chertoff for reasons stated above
2. John Pistole - Head of the TSA
3. Janet Napolitano - Head of Homeland Security
4. Barack Obama (ak Barry Soetoro) - Napolitano's boss
5. Every US Congressperson who has not personally gone on record to defend Americans and other US travels from these assaults
Hats off to Representative Duncan for being a lone voice speaking on behalf of travelers, civil rights, and basic sanity.

Revolt Against TSA, Daily Beast: Hot Trends
From The Street.
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- "Revolt against TSA" is a trending search topic today after Captain Dave Bates, president of the Allied Pilots Association, wrote a letter demanding private security screening for airline pilots.
"There is absolutely no denying that the enhanced pat-down is a demeaning experience. In my view, it is unacceptable to submit to one in public while wearing the uniform of a professional airline pilot," Captain Bates said. "I recommend that all pilots insist that such screening is performed in an out-of-view area to protect their privacy and dignity."
The APA, which is made up of 11,000 American Airlines(AMR) pilots, is also concerned with repeated radiation exposure from airport body imaging scanners.
Mike Cleary, president of the US Airways(LCC) pilots union, shares a similar view on the issue. "Based on currently available medical information," he wrote in a letter to his union members, "frequent exposure to TSA-operated scanner devices may subject pilots to significant health risks."

Italy To Abandon Airport Body Scanner Project
From AFP
After a six-month test, Italy’s government will drop the use of full-body scanners for security checks in airports, judging them slow and ineffective, Italian daily Corriere della Sera reported Thursday.
The scanners in the airports of Rome, Venice and the southern city of Palermo are no longer in use, and Milan’s airport is likely to stop using the machines in the near future.
“We didn’t get good results from body scanners during testing, it takes a long time to examine a person, more than with a manual inspection,” said Vito Riggio, the president of Italy’s aviation authority.
Officials also believe measures taken to address privacy concerns over the use of the scanners have dampened the machines’ effectiveness at locating arms and explosives, Corriere della Sera reported.

$215 Million More for Body Scanners

Prison Planet is reporting today of further millions being spent for airport body scanners.
Even as Obama himself and The New York TImes admits our debts are dangerously high, hundreds of millions will be poured out for new body scanners which probably wouldn't have caught the Detroit Bomber in any case. You can read about the scanner scam here in Mother Jones where it is also described how former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, who has been making the interview rounds pushing for the scanners, also heads the Chertoff Group which represents one of the leading manufacturers of body scanners, Rapiscan.
Rapiscan (OSIS) shares were up 10% after the christmas bombing.
Also one must take into account the witness reports of Abdulmutallab actually being led through security by a sharp dressed man, as well as the claim by the U.S. State Department that it was engaged in an elaborate sting operation with Abdulmutallab, and made a specific request not to revoke his visa. If a terrorist has inside help, and our intelligence agencies want him to fly, no amount of body scanning will do anything to stop him, but will without a doubt further harass innocent travelers and invade our privacy as well as line the pocketbooks of Rapiscan and other security technology investors.

Invasion of the Body Scanners.
ehh...yeah so let's disregard the statements by some and also well described here that the new body scanners wouldn't have identified the Christmas Bomber anyway....because like...we don't care, we trust our government. I hope everyone bought Rapiscan shares, best profit making scheme since pharma made billions from the swine flu.

He's Checking His List, He's Checking it Twice....
Some will receive presents from the Christmas Bomber in the way of rising stock shares, others in the way of military aid.
Shares of OSI Systems, the parent company of Rapiscan, one of many manufacturers of body scanning technology rose 10%. Yemen military assistance more then doubles.
