Republican Lt. Governor Killed TSA Bill For Obama

The man who was instrumental in working with the federal government to sabotage a bill that would have made TSA grope downs a felony in the state of Texas was Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, a former CIA agent and establishment insider considered to be the wealthiest man in Texas politics...
...Dewhurst is a creature of the federal government, having worked as a CIA agent and also served in the US State Department. He was also director of the state Task Force on Homeland Security.
During his tenure in the CIA in the early 1970′s, Dewhurst helped the U.S. government violently overthrow democratically elected regimes in South America to plunder their oil and other resources, including the coup that helped neo-nazi Bolivian Gen. Hugo Banzer Suárez come to power. Banzer was aided by notorious Nazi Klaus Barbie, the “butcher of Lyon,” who escaped France after the end of World War 2 to enter Bolivia.
Barbie, an expert in cruel and inhumane forms of torture for the purposes of interrogation, was a key CIA liaison throughout the years Dewhurst served in South America. When the Austin Chronicle asked Dewhurst whether he had enjoyed a drink with the “butcher of Lyon” at the US embassy bar, he responded, “I never comment on intelligence matters.”

TSA Screeners At JFK Admit To Stealing $160K From Passengers

It must be tempting to be a TSA screener, seeing bags full of expensive goodies going through your scanner and knowing how easy it would be to make those bags disappear. Two TSA agents at JFK Airport in NYC gave into that temptation, swiping at least $160,000 from travelers.
The two thieves were caught earlier today when they were arrested for the Jan. 30 theft of $39,000 from a single passenger's bag. Police say they have subsequently fessed up to $160,000 worth of stolen cash.

TSA denies that the CNN reporter is on the terror list, but remember authoritarian societies only gain their power through deception and secrecy. If they were honest, there would be too much resistance.

In light of new reports alleging that the TSA is creating a watch list of individuals who criticized the agency as a form of collective punishment, it’s revealing to note that CNN journalist Drew Griffin was also put on a TSA watch list immediately after he filed reports critical of the organization back in 2008...

Besides calling disgusting body searches "love pats" idiot Dem. Senator Claire McCaskill presents a form of idiot-propaganda when she states "'damned if you do, damned if you don't' situation, because people would be hopping mad at TSA if Christmas bomber Umar Farouk Adbulmutallab had succeeded."
Only a lonely thinking person might actually notice that TSA DID NOTHING TO STOP THE CHRISTMAS BOMBER. NOTHING. ZERO. His pants didn't explode. Passengers interfered. That's more then one can say about the government who purposely didn't revoke the bomber's visa and may have even helped him on the plane.

Transportation Safety Administration chief John Pistole and several senators from both parties defended the new, enhanced airport security screening procedures as necessary in the face of a persistent and evolving terrorist threat in a hearing Wednesday on Capitol Hill.
Pistole, calm and confident in the face of an increasing public outcry against the procedures, talked extensively about the repercussions of last year's attempted Christmas Day bombing being the impetus for the enhanced screenings before the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, TSA's oversight committee.
"We know the terrorists' intent is still there," Pistole testified. "We are using technology and protocols to stay ahead of the threat and keep you safe. (Several near-misses by terrorists on airplane bombings) got through security because we were not being thorough enough in our pat-downs."
Sen. Claire McCaskill of Missouri said prior to Pistole's testimony that she believed TSA was in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation, because people would be hopping mad at TSA if Christmas bomber Umar Farouk Adbulmutallab had succeeded. She went on to say the new advanced imaging technology--which has caused uproar because of its leave-no-secrets imaging and potential health risks--is more of a blessing than a curse.

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- "Revolt against TSA" is a trending search topic today after Captain Dave Bates, president of the Allied Pilots Association, wrote a letter demanding private security screening for airline pilots.
"There is absolutely no denying that the enhanced pat-down is a demeaning experience. In my view, it is unacceptable to submit to one in public while wearing the uniform of a professional airline pilot," Captain Bates said. "I recommend that all pilots insist that such screening is performed in an out-of-view area to protect their privacy and dignity."
The APA, which is made up of 11,000 American Airlines(AMR) pilots, is also concerned with repeated radiation exposure from airport body imaging scanners.
Mike Cleary, president of the US Airways(LCC) pilots union, shares a similar view on the issue. "Based on currently available medical information," he wrote in a letter to his union members, "frequent exposure to TSA-operated scanner devices may subject pilots to significant health risks."
